Even if i buy this game (which i probably won't, since i despise fps', maybe by father wil get it, he was a huge addict back in the days), i will use the pointer+analog scheme. After playing Prime 3 i can't go back to dual analogs.

Oh, and hire a new artist, that paintjob is just awefull.

Aw, and here I was hoping it would be a golden gun. You know, just to keep it in theme with the 007 franchise. That would have been sweet, if they made it decent looking.

That has to be the worst controller paint job I have ever seen. Is it just me or does that controller look incredibly large I don't know if it is the hands or what but it reminds me of the original xbox controller.

I agree, didn't Nintendo learn anything from the original Xbox controllers? I applaud the fanservice here but that is just plain FUGLY.
The controller for the N64 was what helped make that console so fun, it was easy to hold and hardly gave you cramps. Why oh why couldn't N have stuck with that scheme? Adding a second hat probably would have been easy.

I just upgraded my Gamecube with a Wavebird the best controller manufactured (fanks). I shall be using that. Failing that hope an adapter is produced which means I can use one of my four N64 controllers.

It's the layout of an SNES controller, with an additional pair of shoulder buttons and a pair of analogue sticks.

That just happens to be exactly what a dual shock controller is as well...

Have you actually played a Wii FPS before? Because the few first person shooters on the platform do control really well. I highly prefer the controls of Metroid Prime (which is not technically an FPS but does play like one) Wii remake above those of the original.

If implemented well, first person games work extremely well with the WiiMote pointer. It's unfortunate that not many developpers make use of it yet.
