Hummmm.... Yeah... No.

Playboy needs to go away. Their attempts to push into the gaming market hinder everything we've been trying to do against anti-gaming conspirators.

Not to mention that there would be no reason for those to be there other than the developer trying to squeeze a couple extra pennies from lonely males or drooling children. Shoddy and half-assed attempt in my opinion.

Well actually, I disagree. A big part of the battle with anti-gaming "conspirators" (they are actually pretty bloody public) is free speech/expression in games. Basically, the abillity of "M" rated games to BE "M" rathed games, and for things like sex and ultra violence to be put into games unhindered for an appropriate audience. When the industry tones things down and edits their work, their opponents are winning.

As far as Playboy goes, well I kind of hope it's NOT "safe for work" content because this is an "M" rated game after all. It's not intended to be safe for work, and it's not intended for kids.

Product placement in a game like this really doesn't bother me much. Truthfully I was one of those guys who thought it would be especially cool if they had gotten people to pay for advertising space in the original "Dead Rising" mall setting, given the statement about consumerism the movie that inspired it was trying to make... irony at it's finest. :p

Oh I don't mind mature content, signing up with Playboy however seems like a quick and cheesy attempt to make sales, especially when there's no need...

A chainsaw on a stick and now Playboy? This game is so manly it should sport a fecking beard on the box!

I had already decided I was gonna get the game WAY before it was even announced. I don't care about the in game ads but because Im a fan of the magazine I actually hope that sales boost sales. That aside Im just gonna lap up every detail that drops between now and launch day and when its released I'll at somepoint end up both checking out the Playboy ads and finding the special in game Playboy.

Oh dammit. Thank you Playboy for stopping me from even laying a hand on this game which I was so anticipating to get.
I detect this guys sarcasm but enough about him. To anyone who actually thinks this ^ in regards to real ads in a game. If something like that stops you from getting a game that you were previously anticipating, your just being ridiculous.

Meh, don't see the point tbh. Game wouldn't have been missing anything without it.
I'm going to bet they got some pretty serious cash to do this, which will probably help development. It's kind of like how "Enter the Matrix" whored itself to Powerade. Only now a good game is doing it. And in a more tasteful (irony) fashion.

That, and don't forget the goldmine of teenage boys who will buy it for the promise of tits (which probably won't be in game).

I remember stealing my father's "Girls of the Big 10" or "Girls of the SEC" issues approximatly 18 years ago.

Ah a unique 'reward' for finding the magazine eh? Bet it's a 15 inch, black rubber cock, for the purposes of beating things to death. (Cookie for reference :D)
Well, I have to respect the fact your guns might be loaded, and you have to respect the fact that they're not.

Isn't that the case with all nudity/sex scenes in all games/movies? They just put it there to sell it and/or, in this case, make more money with advertisements...
Not if it's used tastefully, or actually fits with the game. Cant think of examples but I know there are games that do it.
two games that have done sex sex tastefully IMO Dragon Age Fahrenheit(indigo Prophecy for those of you in the states) and mass effect 1&2 OT meh was always gonna buy it anyway
