Does the controlls work well on PC? I havent' tried it yet, but it looks like the kind of game i would prefer a controller for
This may not be right, but don't some PC games support a 360 controller? You could probably just do that, again, I know very little about PC stuff.
I kinda asked about it 2 posts above yours :p whether anyone would recomend getting a controller for my pc.

Guess i should take your post as a yes
Well I like it, and if you want to get SF4, then a controller would benefit you. Unless Capcom are releasing the fightsticks. But, if you like the 360 controller then go for it.
I've never tried the 360 controller, but i guess it's sortof like the PS3 controller. It's mainly for games like prototype and hack 'n slashers if they come to the PC (not as in diablo, more like no more heroes, GoW, ninja gaiden etc.)

I am the wrong person for that, the closest I've ever gotten to playing a hack 'n slash was watching a friend play Ninja Gaiden black. But, I' recommend it. I'm not sure here, but if normal 360 controllers and the ones used for PC are interchangeable, you can find a good wired controller for about $10. You should ask your local game store employee about this.

I'd go for wired as you don't have to replace batteries and it's lighter. If you plan to sit more than three-ish feet away you might want to consider wireless.

I sit close enough to touch my screen and would prefer a wired controller (batteries are expensive)

Thx for answering btw.

now i just have to figure out whether to get a controller and play on the PC or get a new console :p hjust got a 37" kick ass 1080p tv, so it's kinda begging for a 360/ps3, but i just have to consider whether it's worth the money when i've already got a good PC and a wii. And whether i can afford it between all the other stuff i wanna buy.

I have a two points to make on this topic.

Primarily, this comparison topic seems extremely shallow as a review. You main points can be summed up in this neat sentence: Prototype has decent graphics, a huge scale, and lots o' gore; Infamous has nice graphics/lighting.

An a lesser, yet still personally bothersome note, please end your love affair with ellipses. Each and every sentence does not need to be perforated by ellipses.

What is with the comparison of these two games? Are people just trying to be idiots on this subject?

But Prototype is a really good game, it's really immersive and fun and I recommend it.
They compare it because in both games you get powers in mysterious/freak ways and you aren't forced to be good like in all other superpower games. If you really think about it the only thing differen't between the two is the story line and the actual powers.

But with the amount of comparison threads between these two games that have been going on, you'd think people would stop making these threads.
Well that makes sense, haha.

Everyone has their own opinion on these games and no amount of comparing will change their opinion's.

The only reason people compare them is because the X-BOX 360 fans and the PS3 fans want to prove which console and game is better when in reality both consoles and games are fun in different ways.

These games are nothing alike so will everyone stop comparing them they are both great games and everyone should play both. Comparing these just doesn't work they both have their own strength and weaknesses and they both have their differences so please everyone stop comparing.
The reason these games can be compared is b/c they are from the same genre. Open-world. Plenty of people compare GTA and Saints Row and no one asks them to stop.

I've only played prototype and Alex's agility is awesome. What can Cole do in terms of agility?

Just to nitpick, you do realize that stating your framerate on a PC is kinda useless for rating the game cause peoples PC's run very differently right?

Other than that, i think it's nice to hear your oppinion seeing as i can only play prototype (i have PC + Wii) Though i'm still considering getting another console. It just happens too often that i see a game, think WANTZ 2 PLAY PLZ, and then realize that it isn't on the wii/is a badly made port on the wii.

Does the controlls work well on PC? I havent' tried it yet, but it looks like the kind of game i would prefer a controller for
The controlls for Prototype on PC are okay :) they are simple and easy to use :) no breaking fingers or anything xD
someone here said that you could use an 360 controller on your PC and play it with a controller without having to buy a console, would you reccomend that, or should i just go for the good old key/mouse combo
i honestly dont know... keyboard/mouse worked fine for me :)

Cole tends to grab onto things and climb as opposed to run up them.
