I wanted to ask you, the people of the Escapist how a historically do you tend to play in some of the more historical video and if you do play a historically, how a historical are you?

Foe example, I?m currently playing Europa Universalis III right now and im in the mid 16th century. I?m playing as Spain and were in the middle of the Protestant Reformations. Spain has become a bastion of tolerance in Europe along side its ally France. Many different European congregations flock to Spain, now Catholicism, Protestantism, Reformed and even some Orthodox all thrive in Spain. This contrasts with England, which is launching vicious inquisitions to purge all other beliefs from its soil. Spain also has colonized much of the American North East, but inflation rates at 29% are threatening the economy of Spain.

P.S Sorry if my grammer is a little off, I'm pretty tired right now.

I usually don't play historically. If given the chance, I change history for the better of whoever I am playing. If it benefits me to wipe out the Vatican City and everyone in it, I'll do so even if my faction is Catholic.

My Holy Roman assassin in M2: Total War has killed at least 10 popes so I could get my guy in there. But I may wipe out all holy men and leave the place empty for when I do march on Rome itself.

I don't really play any of these types of games, I've never had a machine that could handle them.
I imagine my regard for historical accuracy would be pretty fucking out the window, though. Propelled like a fucking catapult, even.

There would be glass all over my room because I would not even have enough time to open the window. My regard for historical accuracy would be like "hey could you crack that thing open a sec" and I'd be "sure" and then before I can even stand up it is gone with a fucking sonic boom disrupting everything in my room and leaving the whole place in turmoil.

Crikey I am tired.

I play with a view to break history. I doubt I'll manage anything as insane in EU3 as conquering the world with the Iroquois like that one guy did, but I'll settle for putting Persians in London and Beijing.

I also played Hearts of Iron once as the Soviet Union and took out Hitler before World War II even started. The 40's were a very uneventful decade.
