Playing The Witcher for the first time

So I was looking throught my pile of shame and I found The Witcher.

Any tips starting out?

Soldier on, don't let yourself get too bored with the Epilogue and Act 1, it starts to get really better after that.

^ That's exactly what I was going to say. I really liked the opening cutscene, then I didn't like the prologue at all. Act 1 was decent. Then the game really hooked me and I couldn't stop playing until the end.

It takes a bit of time to get used to the combat system too, but I really liked it once I figured it out.
