I know many people here enjoy their music. So, that leads me to ask do people make playlists? I love to make playlists and refine them slow until I think it's perfect. I make many and end up deleting them because I never use them. I stick to one mood in a playlist.

Do you make playlists?
Do you stick to one genre? Or mood?
Do you make them regularly?
Do you use them regularly?
Do you use all your playlists or stick to a few?
When do you use them?

So what do you do Escapist?

I will from time to time. Normally I only make a playlist when I go for a run, and stick a few good running songs on. Not many albums are made up entirely of running songs (excepting Sabaton).

I don't usually bother with playlists. When I listen to music, I typically just listen to one band/performer at a time, and I'll just stick their entire list on "random". Occasionally I'll make a playlist of only the songs I really like by whoever.

But I haven't made a real "playlist" since I was making mix tapes in high school.

I only use one, which is the 'My Top Rated' playlist on iTunes. Since I've rated every song I own, I can just set that to shuffle and not have to bother with making a proper playlist.

I never use them or make them. I basically just pick random songs to listen to each time. I'm sure a playlist on shuffle or random would do the same, but I'm too lazy to start all that and change my habit.

I love to listen to playlists late at night. I founds it's the best time for them.

Likewaise, but I am condemmed by my room mates for having a schizophrenic taste in music.

I have one playlist, that I edit whenever I decide it needs something new.
I have multiple different genres in my playlist. (Which is named "Hallelujah!")
Lady Gaga, Ludacris, mc chris, Disarmonia Mundi, Lamb of god, The coasters.
I have a little bit of everthing. (Except Crunk-core, and country.)

I stick songs on playlists to keep them together, like in the summer when I was listening to a few albums regularly, or to have when I get bored and I stick all my good music on shuffle.

I just shove all the music I like together frankly...

I enjoy bunching up my most listened music into playlists so they're easier to access. My favorite playlist is Metal. This playlist includes songs by: Ozzy, Pantera, Megadeth, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Damageplan, Disturbed, Slipknot, Dope, Motorhead, and several others.

Do you make playlists? Yes
Do you stick to one genre? Or mood? Genre includes, "Songs that I like" so yes.
Do you make them regularly? Define "regularly"
Do you use them regularly? define, "regularly"
Do you use all your playlists or stick to a few? I'm pretty loose with my playlists
When do you use them? I use them because they don't contain songs I don't want to hear but still have on my computer

So what do you do Escapist? Yep.

Yes, but only two. One for instrumental music, one for the rest of it.

The reason I have them is because the music computer is shared, and I don't have the same musical tastes as everyone else in my family. I tend to use genres or bands when I'm in the mood for something.

I use playlists in certain situations. Whenever I'm in my room I'm usually sitting on my bed (which I'm doing right now). My iPod is currently sitting in my iHome so that I don't need to listen to it through headphones. My iHome is across the room from where I currently am and I don't want to have to get up ever time I want to switch to a different list. So I'll usually just put it on a playlist and let it run through. I'll do this when I don't want to have to get up every time a song ends (alot of the artists I have, I only have one or two songs for) or when I'm going to sleep as I usually like to listen to music as I nod off. Most of the time I'll have a bunch of songs from the same genre or mood in the playlist. Sometimes when I've gotten a new song or two I'll just have them repeat in the same playlist for a bit.

When I'm listening to my iPod through headphones, I usually listen by artist. And if I want to switch to another song its nice and easy to do so.

No. I listen to an album not a playlist. The only playlist I have is on my iPhone which consists of one song that plays as an alarm to wake me up.

I always use playlists.

I have some for artists, some for moods (Love Peace Harmony) and others for the best of a genre.
