I have no idea how the PSN works. I currently have a PSP. If I wanted to play Scott Pilgrim vs. the World on my PSP, could I or would I have to shell out money for a PS3?

Provided you can get your PSP online, you can access the PSN store without owning PS3.

So no, you can buy media off of PSN with only a PSP just fine. :D

I assumed it would be compatible with it, but apparently my research proves me wrong.

You can also use that software called MediaGo, which you can download here [http://us.playstation.com/psn/mediago/] if you prefer to download your games to your PC directly, and transfer them over when needed. You'll need a USB cable though.

you create an account and link it to a credit card, debit card, PSN gift card..

when you sign into the PS store you can browse freely and if you find something you want to download after you click it you can just add funds to your wallet and then make the fast purchase that way.

Its a nice system and really solid IMO.. this weekend rented a movie on it with the wife and it was a great quality stream
