As fun as it is, I really think we need a new feminine form of the word "hero" because having it be one letter off and homophonic with a drug is just annoying.

How about we rename the drug instead? The word "heroine" is a bit older.

Thing is when people talk about females lead games they never mention Velvet Assassin and Venetica. Both good games if rough around the edges.

Agreed. No one every pays either title enough attention.

Unfortunately I either have or have seen (in the case of movies) the 20 items in the sale I'd be interested in. If fighting games were more my style I'd pick up Skullgirls.

Anyone know anything about Time and Eternity? It's literally the only thing in the sale I might like that I don't already have.

Did anyone else read this and think "Wow Sony is pandering"? Or is it that anything remotely connected to woman/feminism has become a knee jerk reaction now due to gamergate etc?

Probably. Gamers are a little suspicious lately. One even made a complain video about Final Fantasy Theatrhythm having an all female bonus (even though the game has also an all male bonus).

Isn't Fat Princess's titular character basically a macguffin that teams try to steal from one another capture-the-flag style? Hardly seems like hero material to me.
