I live in the Midlands and could easily travel down to London. It'd be a bit of a pain for those coming from way up north, would somewhere more central not do better?
We had a poll and most people said that London would be the best for them.

We had a vote and almost everyone said London would be okay. We have some people flying in so it's probably easier for them.

I live about as far away from London as you could be while still being in Britain.

In short, I'm not going to be going.

Secondly, what do people want to do? Bowling? Erm... can't think of any ideas, so open to all suggestions.
I'll probably get shot down for suggesting this, but Camden is a possbility. I realise there are phenomenal numbers of chavs there, but Camden Market's a fantastic place; loads of stuff to do, buy, and, more importantly, eat.

I suggested mid July, so about the 18th. Then I've finished work so I won't be worrying about it.
Mid July definitely. Lots of us will have exams/ work before then, so it would need to be in the summer sometime. If we can get a definite date organised for this, and I'm free on that date, be assured that I'll be there.

So far, we don't know what we're going to do. First we want to check the dates ok, and get people to definitely agree (by sending me a message - easiest way to track numbers), then we'll organise what and where. But we'll make sure it's fun and that everyone can get involved.

Like the idea of Camden market, but we'll discuss that later.

We're going with the 18th (July) as a date at the moment. Unless anyone says no way.

You don't have to be a member, but you need to know about the site and that.

Although this could give him a reason to join up *wink wink*

You're recently 18, as am I. I'm hoping the rest are too, that way, drinking is an option.

I'll probably turn up pissed anyway, you know, as an ice breaker.

I'm actually just turned 19. But hey, only a year out.

And we'll wait and see if anyone underage wants to come first. If they don't fine, we'll find a pub. If they do, at least part of the day will be away from drinking.

I'll be very nearly 18 in July, but I've been told I can already pass for 18.

London is a damn big place, so organising an all UK gathering there will get tricky...
Damn I'd be willing to go, even though I'm from "way up north"...
To be honest, if you get the Megabus service, or national express coaches it wouldn't cost more than £15 if booked about a month in advance, they all stop at Victoria station, and you can always get the night coach, which is a little more expensive, but it means no need for accomodation if it's a 1 day event...
LAN party sounds the best idea, I mean bowling wouldn't be bad, but it's expensive and doesn't last too long. If there is a place in London, like this little place near me called CGZ, which it should have because it is the bloody capital, you can get all-nighter LAN sessions for about £20 a person, it works out at about 10-14 hours gaming. That plus no sleep, loads of caffiene, and raman, people get really silly, though some also get really dickish, so we'd need to try and keep them in line, it spoils a big session when a couple just feck off and get bitchy...
Regional organisers, once again, sounds like a good idea, it means you could end up with teams and all, but most likely very uneven, and spreads out the organising, but if you just have one head doing all the work, it seems, and if the numbers got really big, would be a bit unfair...
If things get a little more sorted I'll definitely take part, but at the moment this seems like a dream rather than something that's going to definitely happen...

IF I SAY YOU'RE EIGHTEE-

*heavy breathing*

*Ahem*

Good plan! Good plan...

If anyone from the Midlands wants to travel down with me, HIT ME UP YO! I'll be travelling from either Coventry of Birmingham station!

You're 16, so as long as someone buys the booze for you and you don't get totally drunk that's okay.
