Hello! I am saving up money for a gaming PC, but it will also need to be able to handle other stuff (such as programming). The irony here is that I'm studying Computer Science and still have trouble picking out computers.

Long story short, a friend of mine recommended Digital Storm computers, and I spent a little bit of time picking out one that would look decent. However, I would (very much) appreciate your input on it!

Would this computer be able to handle recording video game footage at fairly high graphic levels? It seems to me at first glance that it would, but perhaps there are better options out there. For example, I would love to be able to play and record games like PLanetside 2 and Starforge on it. :)

Thanks guys!

Ya these components are the sort of thing you want, price however is absurd but then again this seems to be a firm who prides itself on customer support so you are wasting a good $500 on their brand.
I would say find another company that puts cases together and ask for these components (minus the fancy case and any software).

And I would strongly suggest you familiarize yourself with current computer tech because it is rather crucial to any programmer, and no your class will not teach you all these things.

Thanks! That's exactly the sort of response I was looking for.

If this brand is overpriced, then maybe I can get something better for the same price.

Thank you for your response! :)

Hi there.

Here is a wonderful website I am currently using to build my pc. http://www.logicalincrements.com/ It's really amazing. If you decide on a part, you just click on it and it'll take you to a website which sell the part you wanted at the price listed. It helps with getting more bang for your buck.
