So I'll tell you the problem first. My grandfather is in a lot of pain, he takes loads of medication to help him, amongst all the medication is blood thinners and his skin is like parchment. A few nights ago my grandfather fell over (from what i understand of it) and hit his arm on the corner of his side table, needless to say it tore his arm open and he bled a lot. I can't stand to see him like this and as he is torn up, I am as well (okay i know that sounds cheesy but it's none the less true)

So my question is this, is there some wheres I could find spongy corners or something for his side table or anything sharp and pointy in his place? I really don't want to see him get hurt like this.

You can get small rubber things that go onto corners to stop them hurting people. I think they're usually used for children so if you know a shop near you that might sell child protection items then try there.

The best course of action might be to get a wheelchair though, that would take away the threat of falling entirely. Your Grandfather would still be able to reach high places but he'd also be able to sit in comfort wherever he goes and protect himself from falling in the house. I don't mean to insult your Granda by this, I just think it may be a good method of preventing future falls.

Wish your Granda my best wishes.

EDIT: Here's a link to some corner guards. [http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_0_13?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=corner+guards&x=0&y=0&sprefix=corner+guards] They're on the US Amazon sit though, sorry they aren't on the Canadian one but there weren't any on there.

or, head to home depot and the like, they should have something to fill your need, or at the very least PVC piping that you can cut to fit.

I don't know to laugh or cry because the thing is...he's already in a wheel chair.

Oh, I'm sorry, I was unaware. Just as another suggestion, if you have some soft piping that you got with some products lying around you could use that. You know the material that they often use to keep your electronics products in one place and safe? That should be able to protect him quite a bit more than just a rubber corner guard.
