So I was at school today and was going into basketball class, where I got undressed and put my clothes in my basketball locker (which is a lockerroom exclusively for basketball and baseball players, and not many other people go in). When I came back from the class period, my locker was open and my i phone (which was in my jeans pocket) was gone, but my wallet (which was also in my pants pocket) had all the money still in it which was 3 20s and some ones along with my debit card and some gift cards.

Facts:
My iphone is locked so it won't do much good for those that don't know my password and noone does.
There are some kids that quit basketball, but they're still in the class, and they are pretty shady kids, but i can't jump to conclusions.
There are some cameras around the school, but I'm not sure where they are.
I've been advised to see my princepal about the incident, which I will do tomorrow morning.

What should I do? PLEASE HELP!!!

Well, you see. The bad thing about locking it is that you can't phone it to see where it is.

They can just plug it into a computer and reset it to take off the password.

Though I doubt that anyone who stole one would know that.

Well I'm having a meeting with my princepal here soon, and they're are some cameras around the school so maybe he can find some evidence as to who stole it.

Unless someone saw it or it was caught on cctv you most likely wont be getting it back.
Same thing happened to me with my locker at work. The police basically said it wasn't worth investigating and that i most likely wouldn't get it back. They were right. Lazy bastards

Call the police, speak to your head teacher, listen out for someone selling a "Second hand" Phone. Locking it was a good idea, but hopefully you've also got insurance on it. The thing with things getting stolen is that often they are gone. Depends how smart the thief was, if it was someone in your basketball team in school though they are probably very amateur.

Are the lockers not locked? Also I doubt there will be cameras in a locker room. IF you haven't called the police though that is the first thing you should have done, so do it now. Hope this helps.

Talk to a solicitor. The phone was in a locker room exclusively for your class. The fact that someone else went in there and took it proves a hole in the security, something your school will be held directly responsible for. You'll get a replacement.

May want to call your cell provider and put a hold on service, too. That way, should the thief actually gain access to your phone he/she won't be able to do much with it which means no add-ons to your bill (speaking from the experience of having to pay for a call to the Middle East from Seattle after leaving my phone in a taxi as I hadn't called T-Mobile to tell them it was missing until after that call was made.)

While this won't help you right now. Set your greetings message to "If found please call 'home phone number'" and have the PIN set as on.

You mention it's an Iphone - Cant apple locate all of these? That's what someone with an Iphone told me. Maybe they were showing off an "app".

or call the police, just report it like the crime that it is and give a list of suspects. then report it to apple.
That just made my week.

Thanks for sharing.

OP - DO that!

You might wanna try calling it. Have a friend lend you a phone and call it while you're in the locker room, cuz they might still have it with them. I've had a couple friends lose phones or iPods only to find the person that took it holding on to it the next day. Unless you're able to somehow prove that they have it, you're kinda screwed if they took it home and left it there.

I am not sure, seen as how I don?t have an iphone, but can you still get calls on an iphone even if it is locked? Also, is the phone set to ring or vibrate? If both are true, then what I suggest is call the phone. If you have some suspects, call them at a time when they are in eyesight. Then, dial your phone?s number and see if anyone?s phone goes off. Even if you had it set to vibrate, you still will here it rubbing around. That is enough to give you a reason for you to get someone with authority, like a teacher or administrator, to let you see the phone. If it is yours then, you have found the phone and culprit.

I hope this is of some help. Like I said, I don?t know much about iphones so this might be useless. Either way, I do hope you find the phone. Good Luck.

Call police, talk to principal, talk to people in school, talk to all of your friends, and as someone said crack some skulls if neccesery. Don't be on escapist forum as someone is selling your phone and using money to buy drugs right now.

I'd report that someone stole it to the police, it's a criminal matter at this point since someone stole it, the principal is probably only going to do the same thing or just shrug their shoulders and couldn't care less, I have heard of Apple locating the device through it's serial number and supplying the info to the police.

Well I just met with the princepal and believe it or not, there was a a camera right in front of the door that enters into the lockerroom. We're going over the footage tomorrow morning and hope that we can see something unusual.
