This is a thread about things you find over the top or unnecessary in gaming

Having just come across one that really bugs me, I thought you could all share what unnecessary things in your favourite games really wind you up.

For me, in Skyrim...I just want to stop beheading people with my mace...it's very messy and it's just inappropriate and improbable

The only thing I found unnecessary in Deus Ex: Human Revolution besides the forced boss fights and the "choose your ending button" was the unnatural movement of the NPCs when they talked.
