Poetry project do in two days, and I need some good poetry. Nothing with swears, or sexual references.

Edit: Thanks people!

When in doubt: Go with something that points out society's flaws. I'm a sucker for that niche.

I'll get looking for some. I'm drawing blanks, currently.

Edit:

My grandmother has a huge thing of clean poetry that was good enough to be put in decent newspapers. None of which I shall tell you.
If your trying to be truly lazy with your poetry, Google "clean poetry" and hope for the best.

Wait... do you need to write poetry or just pick someone elses poetry?

Wait... what?

Just... sit down and write poetry. Find a topic then write in poem form.

Stings by Sylvia Plath, or Lady Lazareth. Crow's Account of St. George by Ted Hughes is good, as is Grin. Hope that helps

I'm supposed to get five poems off of the internet, and write one of my own which I have already done.

Then why do you need help? Open google, type "poems" into the search bar and press enter. Grab the first five that you see. I think you're just using this thread as a thin disguise of actually working while still getting to ass around on the internet. *tsk tsk*

It's hard to find poems you like. I was looking around the internet for something like an hour without any luck. So I thought the good people of the Escapist might know some good poetry. I still have to write 50 word paragraphs on each poem about why I like them.

Kubla Khan is good. It's easy to analyse too, basically stretch out 'Coleridge was high on opium when he wrote it' over at leats three A4 pages. Added marks for mentioning the 'Man from Porlock' too. Because quite simply, Coleridge really was high when he wrote it, and it's still amazing.

Otherwise, anything by Byron or any other Romantic poet is good. And it's easy to analyse Byron's long poem, Childe Harold's Pilgrimage, because it's mostly just an autobiography of Byron but written from the point of view of the guy he'd have liked to have been.
