I just wish the roster was wider in this game. Right now, it stands at eight playable Pokemon: Blaziken, Snorlax, Gengar, Lucario, Gardevoir, Breloom, Combusken, and Swalot. This is a pretty good roster (made better if you factor in their assists), although I would've replaced Combusken with another Pokemon (either a Water-type of some kind or maybe Staraptor). Might be kind of neat to throw in a few more monsters (at least four more). Maybe...
Dawn's Mamoswine (with Piplup, Pachirisu, and Cyndaquil as assists),
Cyrus's Honchkrow (Purugly, Skuntank, and Toxicroak),
Cynthia's Garchomp (with Milotic, Spiritomb, and Togekiss assists),
and a Zoroark (assisted by Snivy, Tepig, and Oshawott) to represent Unova.

I would totally play that, but downloading is still, well, down.

But like a dozen people have already said, Nintendo will kill this before it goes anywhere really, really cool.

(On a side note, who decided it would be a good idea to have Snorlax fighting Gengar? Half the fight would be them phasing through each other.)

Edit: Okay, Nevermind, got a download of it... too bad I'm not willing to pay for a .rar extractor (and I don't trust "free trials")

Since when are normal attacks effective against ghost type Pokémon?

If this were to be made into a real game, I'd actually buy it. Then again, the only console I own is the gamecube..

This is really, really awesome. As a result, Nintendo will shut it right the fuck down.
^This.

I'd love to see this brought out of the 'beta' stage and into something more like MineCraft.

Man imagines if they use that to replace the turned base battle? Using Garchomp and Dragonite will bring new meaning to over power.

Nintendo, being intensely protective of their intellectual properties, will no doubt crush this project in a hail of legal threats and litigation before long, but until that time prospective Poké pugilists can download the game from the fan's website.
this......unfortunately, happened to another Pokemon fan-game that i started playing a few months back. luckily for me though, i had only been playing for a couple weeks when it got shut down by Nintendo.

but the worst part was, it was an MMO. an excellent one

the core game was from the sprite-based MMO, Tibia. (if by some rare chance anyone here has played it)

but all the Pokemon, character outfits, and the majority of structures and items were made entirely by the creator of the fan game. im talking about a LOT of hard work here, flushed down the drain because Nintendo couldnt stand to see a FREE fan game existing. and the person that made this had been working on it for several YEARS. i had been aware of it for the longest time, but only started playing after my friend did.

heres a video of the game, for anyone who wants to see what Nintendo killed...

*glances at MUGEN for past 8 years*

well if they did decide to make a full fledged game it would be awesome, need more attacks for all the characters, could see it being Guilty Gear X with Pokemon characters.

unfortunately unless its handled properly with rights and usage Nintendo wont be smiling, some fan made games had the plug pulled almost immediately where as some were never even batted a eye,

They did however see Super Mario Bros. Crossover lightly, I think they stated they are aware of the game but plan to take no action.

I guess it depends on who is working the Rights Hammer that day.

I think it would be a very bad idea for Nintendo to simply crush the idea and do nothing with it. My suggestion? Shut down the project, then hire those people to work on a Nintendo backed and funded version. Immagine what these guys could do with a little money from the big N? Each and every pokemon out there in one big fighting game.

I was thinking though, it would be nice to have the regular pokemon formula, but with fights like these instead of the old ones. It just gets stale too quickly. Would be much more immersive than what they have now :D

This game looks really, really good for a fan-made game. I am kind of concerned that Nintendo isn't going to allow them to distribute it, though.
By the way, was the special attack at 1:01 "Dream Eater"? I say that because it was right after Snorlax fell asleep.

7-zip.

Freeware, and the best ^_^.

Too bad the big N doesn't listen to it's fanbase.

I have a feeling Nintendo is going to drop a bomb on this, although it'll live on through torrents and such. Given how they bombed that fan made MMO a while back.

I'll have to try to get my hands on it later.
Wasn't that MMO like an exact replica of the kanto and johto regions? I'm not sure if it was but if that was true, they really had all the right to get rid of it.

If Nintendo has any sense, they'll hire the people making this and release this as an actual title.
As well all know, Nintendo has no sense. If they did, we'd already have a game like this. AND an awesome Pokemon mmo.
Pokemon is largely under the control of Game Freak, not Nintendo.

O.O this game looks awesome!!!! The people & environment look skewed though... if they where just from the angle of a regular pokemon game i would be in love and heart broken that it was brought down...
