Anyone picking up Conquest tomorrow? I'm a little excited for it, and it's getting great reviews so far (http://www.metacritic.com/game/ds/pokemon-conquest).

There's only about two hundred Pokemon included, which is a little disappointing (Serebii has the list right here [http://www.serebii.net/nobunaga/pokemon.shtml]), but it looks like they have a lot of my favorites in there.

No Swampert, no Mudkip, no deal.
That...is fucking creepy...

If I had the money, I'd buy it in a heartbeat. A Pokemon TRPG!? That plays like Fire Emblem?!?! Sign me the fuck up! *shakes wallet, moths fly away* D:

What is it anyway? And what the hell is a TRPG?

I don't think the picture is implying Pokeporn (or evolutioncest? Let's get creative here). And I actually would like a decent Pokemon spinoff, but I too am in a financial situation. As in, I'm saving my lousy Jamba Juice paycheck for titles later this summer. I'll just stick to Pokemon Online, possibly picking this up after my two main titles, Borderlands 2 and Hitman Absolution, come out.

TRPG stands for Tactical RolePlaying Game. Combat takes place on a top-down isometric grid, and is turn based. In some TRPGs, each unit moves independently, turn order based on a unit's speed stat. In others, such as Fire Emblem, each "team" moves all of their units(or however many they wish to move) in one "turn", then the opposing team moves their units.

In both forms, each unit has a 'move' stat that indicates how many squares on the combat grid they can move, as well as a 'range' stat that indicates their attack range. A unit can perform a single 'move' action, as well as a single 'ability' action per turn. An ability action ranges from trading items between units, using items, switching weapons, talking to NPCs, interacting with the environment, as well as attacking or using any special abilities that unit may have.

I think I played a 40K game like that on my PSP. Might skip it =\

It looks like Final Fantasy Tactics but with Pokemon. Graphically, it looks like something that could be on the PSX as well..

I have no opinion on the game, but whoever did the art for Serebii's list needs to get hired full-time by Nintendo posthaste. Those are some immensely badass illustrations. Even Bibarel looks kinda cool. Bibarel!

I agree, I'm digging the new look of a few of the monsters.
