If this has been recently posted, feel free to disregard everything and flame me to death.

Do you think there'll be a third version of Pokemon Black and White? I bought White on release and played it to death. It's probably one of my favourite Pokemons so far, but I'm quite worried that if they do release a third version, it'll be on 3DS- but after all the effort it would take to 3Dify a director's cut, they'd be better off just making a new generation. What do you guys think?

I think there will be a Pokemon Grey. Why? This guy. He's tailor-made for a third edition. Third member of the "Tao trio" AND specifically colored grey? He's definitely the planned legendary.

But you can already get him in B&W.
If he would be a grey exclusive he wouldn't already be in B&W, right?

Not quite since in Diamond and Pearl you can capture Giratina who is also the icon of Platinum abliet its level is lower compared to D/P. So it's mostly like that Kyurem would be a lower level in Grey (if he is the icon for Grey).

I would love them to make Grey (I want to make a new team and I too lazy to raise one in White) but I don't think it's likely.
I mean why alter the game to make use of the 3D capability instead of investing into a whole new game itself? I mean it would feel like the same game with a slap on 3D effect.

Ever so slightly off topic, but I would like a proper home console Pokemon game. One that looks like Skyward Sword, but plays like Black & White. *eyes glaze over*

I think, at this point, its a given that we'll get a third installment to Black and White. I also wholeheartedly believe it'll be for the 3DS, since the original DS is basically dead (the DS is dead, long live the DS!).

Kyurem is also whom I believe to be the "main legendary" of Pokemon Grey. Besides the similarities already mentioned, he's got almost the exact same level-up moves as the original two. It's possible we'll get something similar to Giratina, where he'll get a hold item that transforms him.

I'm curious to see how the 3DS features will be implemented in Grey. Although, the most likely scenario is that they'll be used in mini-games, and we won't see a significant usage of them until the next trilogy.

I, personally, can't wait to get my hands on it. If I don't have a 3DS by the time it comes out, I'll make sure to get one, if only for that.

They probably will. A third expanded version for each generation of pokemon is kinda traditional and it's not like DS games have stopped selling just because the 3DS exists.

I probably won't buy it. Unless my friends convince me to. And I'm in the mood to start up another game I've never finished in the series.

Also, it's been the model since Gen 1, so it's safe to assume.

Grey really does make sense, though. Black, white, grey.

The only question is, does Nintendo want to split its base? I mean, technically, you can still play a DS game on the 3DS, but if they want to move their current handheld, do they want to put a major franchise on an older one?

Eh, it's just how it works. The third installment of each generation is a "similar" color to the first two. Red and Blue had Yellow, Gold and Silver had Crystal, Ruby and Sapphire had Emerald, etc. They aren't running out of colors, grey is just the assumed next color if there is a third game for this generation.

I hope so, though I'm waiting for some stuff so I can play Blaze Black (if you want to know more google it as discussing the details aren't allowed here). So its not like I'm desperate for a Pokemon fix.

Meh, I'll pass.

I just didn't find this generation to be as good as the previous ones. Certainly not if I need to shell out for a 3DS.

Well I won't get it, I save my limited cash for more substantial games. I have access to a 3DS, I already own Black and there was never enough difference in the expanded version for a buy.

Well I don't know but if this is legit, I welcome the 3D models

I hope they would chose Pokemon Gray as the title because I'm sure someone at Nintendo went

"Oh my god, we could make a third version that's inbetween black and white...We should call it Grey...*rest of the staff is in stunned silence*"
"BRILLIANT!"

They still have a few colors to burn through, like Pink, Brown, Orange, Purple, and then they can resort to colors that could be argued as the same as previous versions like turquoise or ...I can't think of another one. :D

P.S Is there a grammatically correct way to refer to the title of a video game, like how one refers to the title of a book?

Wasn't there some business regarding an item in the code of B&W, and most people assumed it was related to Kyurem? I remember seeing it on gameFAQs after googling something hetero, I think it was the God Stone or something.

EDIT: http://www.serebii.net/itemdex/godstone.shtml
googling "Pokemon god stone" brings up all sorts of misspelled conspiracy theories.

No no no , really beige?

The next in line is pokemon : transparent ( or clear) and opaque . OBVIOUSLY they are done with colours and gemstones .

OT: maybe there will be a gray , although i think gray is an ugly color and pretty anti climactic
