Pokemon, lacking subtlety (Things that seem odd)

1. No matter how many Champions you beat; no matter how many times you've squashed your rivals under your boot; no matter how many entries into the hall of fame you make...

YOU NEVER BECOME THE CHAMPION!

You spend a good portion of the game aiming to take out the Elite Four and then the current Champion but it doesn't matter. No matter how many times you kick the E4's ass you just wind lying down back at home and the only thing that indicates your kicked ass was that you get a pretty Hall of Fame picture. So what did I train for? Why can I challenge them again if I'm still the Champion? How come I'm never asked to rush to the E4 to take on a challenger?

2. Also there are some very effeminate Pokémon who can be male and vice verse...

3. How come my Pokémon can only learn four moves. I can understand for R/B/G and G/S/C; tech limitations right? But now we've had three DS titles and my Pokémon still can only learn four moves? So because my Tepig learned Take Down it forgets how to Tackle? What a retarded mechanic.

A: Pokemon that can learn moves they clearly should not be able to perform under normal circumstances.
Lapras used Thunderbolt? Rhyhorn used Flamethrower? Come on! How the hell does that make sense?

B: Multiple Pokemon species can breed amongst themselves. You'd never see a bear and a kangaroo getting it on in the real world.

C: A small bird Pokemon, such as Pidgey, can somehow carry a person on its back and travel across an entire continent without issue.
C+: Same thing as above, but with small water Pokemon using Surf.

D: Trainers requiring the use of Surf-ing Pokemon to swim, as if they cannot learn to swim for themselves.

E. Team Rocket/Aqua/Magma/etc. has a better human resources department over the police, as they outnumber the latter across the world.

F. The shame of defeat causes a trainer to blackout, wherein they wake in the last hospital they went to without a notion as to how they got there.
F+: A defeated trainer appears in the last hospital they required the services of, rather than, say, the nearest one available.

G. There is now such a thing as a Normal-type Legendary. Oxymoron?

...I've got tons more (I'll run out of letters before I run out of examples), but this post is fairly large enough as it is.

why is that a 10-14 year old child is sent to discover pokemon? how come professor oak doesn't move his lazy ass and do the work himself? isn't he the scientist?

how come you can't steal Pokemon form other trainers? and why aren't high level pokemon/trainers used as elite weapons of war? actually i'm convinced the whole "go on an adventure and find pokemon" is a training method designed to turn young trainers into elite super child soldiers.

I remember team rocket and various bikers threatening to kick the shit out of him so I'm guessing he probably took a few punches to the face when he ran out of pokemon to hide behind..

Another thing that I've noticed in that most of the games the starting town only ever has about 3 buildings; you family's, someone else's (the Professor's family's or your rivals'), and the Professor's lab. But there's always some random people walking around. And one's always fat. WHERE DO THESE PEOPLE COME FROM?

And that be the best Pokemon related thing I have ever seen.

Prof. Oak is an ass!- this is something I looked over for a long time, but i realized, doesn't it seem odd that when Oak asks for you and his relative (son? nephew?) to come to the lab for a pokemon, he gives you one first, and when your rival asks what about him all Oak says is "shh! wait your turn!" seems odd that he seems to prefer his neighbor over his own flesh and blood.

BUt then his relative (who is your rival) gets the type advantage on you. SO is he really an ass, or just a genius at being a douche?

OT: hm...

Ever since I saw that one demotivational poster, I cant help hearing Nurse Joy wanting my pokemon to be injured when she says I hope I see you again. Really nurse joy, really? My doctor tells me every year on my physical he hopes he never sees me again, and I tell him the same. Cuase odds are, if I'm seeing my doctor, something's wrong.

Taking a glance at the last image...I'm guessing you live in America?

Yeah, but still, think about the economy based in the Pokemon world where hospital care can be totally free (no matter how severe the injury or number of times you use it) but a bottle of Lemonade is 350 Pokedollars. The only way I can see this making sense is that the hospital treatment is incredibly easy and cheap while lemonade is some sort of luxury item.

I don't care where you live in the world this economy is wack.

Disturbingly this is supported by the pokedex, several entries on Pidgeot mention its sharp talons and keen eyes able to spot and snatch Magikarp up from great distances, and even more recently those anteater pokemon (Heatmor) have an entry that literally says they melt down the steel ant pokemon (Durant) in the same area and devour their innards 0_o

I always find it odd that the genders of most Pokemon look identical, it's not so bad if you see a male/female Pikachu or Caterpie or any Pokemon that looks like an animal, but when confronted with something humanoid like a female Machoke it makes me gag slightly.

Why do the legendaries leave after defeat or victory? I mean you can claim they they want to escape now that someone knows where they are, but they are the freaking legnedaries damn it! They have destroyed moutains, caused ice ages, and rose the continents up! What do they have to fear from a ten year old child?

the thing with 4 attacks always seemed odd to me too but recently i developed the theory that the Government lunched a dense net of satellites that emit radiation to stop pokemon from developing higher brain functions so they don't take over the world. side effect: o more than 4 attacks at a time.
