At this rate, only Red/Blue/Yellow will the only ones left to port/remake and you can effectively play every single generation on the 3DS ^.^
I would hope they would do Yellow, having Pikachu follow you again would be cool, battling Jessie and James as well.
I hope so too. You could get every starter pokemon in that game too without having to trade.
I hope they port silver/gold/crystal too. It's my favourite generation of the series, I always liked how you could travel to kanto after the pokemon league. To be honest I would support any new game that allowed you to go to different regions.
They did that with Heart Gold and Soul Silver, you can still play that on the 3DS, meaning Pokemon can still be sent from that region (admittedly you need an older DS system as well but it's still doable) Gen 2 onwards won't be touched now until the Cartridges change completely, and stops DS and 3DS with the newer system which will undoubtedly come out to replace the 3DS.

So all I got from that is that the game looks pretty in 3D render (which is something X and Y showed me). So... thanks for the useless leak whoever leaked?
Err, this isn't a leak. This is a trailer for the game published by Nintendo.

Some day, some day I'll buy a 3DS.
And by that time, there'll probably be a "combined version" of this pair of games.
That's what I'll buy.
Some day.

Well to be fair this isnt the first place I saw it, and everyone else had said leak because there's sound to it.

either way, I still think its pretty useless over all. Its just showing its in 3D render which is nice but again, X and Y showed plenty of times how pretty the game is like that. I mean, they didn't even give much that we haven't seen already, and its pretty short for a trailer.

There won't be a "combined" version since they don't do that with remakes. The'll already have a combined story like the Silver and Gold remakes had.

For those who are disappointed by how limited this footage was seem to forget that we're not too far away from E3 which is a great place to truly showcase something like this. Call me crazy but an event where all the eyes of industry are upon you seems like a more fitting major reveal for a project like this instead of releasing the big juicy reveal during the weeks leading up to E3.

As for the footage itself I don't think this was supposed to blow minds or give you that much of a look. What it is designed to do is let you know the style the remake will be using which looks to be X and Y. No doubt this has been in the works for a little while now and November is still nearly six full months away so it isn't like it is releasing that soon. This is a remake after all and Nintendo managed to pump out the impressive Wind Waker HD in about six months. There is a lot that can be done between now and release.

Wait until after E3 before we start piling on with the doubt and criticism. Something tells me Nintendo wants to make a big splash at E3 and something like this will certainly help accomplish that.

Edit: Also enough with the damn roll over ads and ads which automatically play audio. Getting sick of being blasted at random because I moused over something or having videos interrupted because an ad which I can't stop or mute decided to start playing randomly. Totally fine with ads and understand why they are here but do we really need incredibly annoying ones?

I'm currently playing through Ruby on my phone, Trying to catch a Feebas atm which is destroying my soul :(
Are you sure you're doing it the right way? It was never really explained well how to find Feebas.

http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Hoenn_Route_119#Finding_Feebas

Its very contrived and stupid. I never even found a Feebas even though I've played through all three Hoenn games, some more than once.
Yea I googled it before I started (I remember wanting its Evolved form as a kid and never being able to find one) I found one eventually, it took 3 hours all in, The annoying part being that I was going to start from one point, but changed my mind and started from the other side, If I'd had stuck with my original choice it would have taken maybe half an hour!

and i thought finding a Tauros was *****, I've got all the normally obtainable Ruby pokemon, now to Trade them to Firered, Evolve them and start Sapphire!

Yellow is soooo underrated, I actually liked it better than Red/Blue :p
OT: This trailer is actually quite a big thing. It's showing new, revamped weather effects as well as the battle sprites being submerged underwater. In all other Pokemon games, when battling on water, the sprites are floating above it. It seems as if they're going to make most of the Pokemon either stand or swim while battling.

They've also removed the circular areas in which the Pokemon stand and it just has them standing on a regular battlefield, which was previously only seen in the home console games.
They seemed more like cutscenes than actual arenas, honestly.

If that is the case, then the trailer is pretty disappointing. I was hoping to see how the overworld looks in the new engine. I have a feeling they're saving the big guns for E3.

Am I able to catch non-Gen3 pokemon in this game? I wonder.
If I can only trade from the other games, I don't quite need a 3D version of the game I already have. The Mega 4th evolutions don't appeal to me.

They'll probably add it in for when you get the National Pokedex like how the Gen 2 remake added in the other legendarily from the 4th Generation. In the Gen 1 remakes they also added in the legendary dogs and Pokemon that were from Gen III and Gen II, so it's entirely possible that we can see some Gen VI Pokemon in this remake once we beat the Pokemon League.

Definitely not likely that it's a cutscene. Considering the major fact that both Pokemon are being sent out with the trailer immediately showing Drizzle/Sunny Day.
But that's exactly what happened in the originals - Kygore (Groudon) awoke and summoned endless rain (drought). It was a major plot point.

Slow down Gamefreak, don't want to give us to much. We might not be able to handle it.

More serious though, the game is looking nice. I may have to go with Alpha over Omega, even though Ruby was my first game. I'm a water fanatic and Kyogre fits the bill. I'm pretty excited, considering I actually have a 3DS to play the game on.
