Can i make a second character and chose between them if i get in? I like the one i have but there is another set of pokemon i want to have also and i would like the choice if i get in.
You're free to apply with multiple characters, yes. However, we're only going to accept one character from each player, and if we do select one of yours, then that's the one you'll be playing as. No switching if you decide you like your other one better.

I've been wondering what it'd take to drag me out of quasi-retirement. Apparently, it's a well put together Pokémon RP.
Name: Elias Eder Baudin
Age: 17
Gender: Boy
City/Region: Rural Kalos, Near Dendemille Town

Appearance: Elias is a farmboy, and he looks the part. He wears a leather vest over a dark maroon button-up shirt, with blue jeans underneath. He wears sturdy leather workbooks, and warm woolen socks. His pokeballs are carried in a bandolier running across his chest, and his backback is large and appears hand-sewn.

He wears his brown hair short, but often runs his fingers through it like he's used to it being longer. His skin is deeply tanned, thanks to long hours in the sun, and his brown eyes are almost always slightly squinting, like its always a little bit too bright for his comfort- another gift of long hours in the field. he stands at roughly 5'10", with a thick, muscular build that puts him at just over 175lbs.

Personality: Elias is a little slow, and a lot naive. He's very used to the plodding pace of his home, where the seasons come and seasons go without haste. Pokemon battles are often the only thing that makes him pick up the pace. He favors brute-force victories: get the type advantage, and tear the enemy apart. When finesse is required, he tries his best, but it's really not his style.

As far as interactions with others go, Elias is straight-forward, and tries to be kind and honest, the way his Pa raised him. His unrelenting nature in battle immediately melts away back to his normal gentle, easy-going nature, and he often ends up apologizing to his opponents that lose, or else congratulating those who win. He strives to bring out the best in his Pokemon, and if someone else beat them, that just means he needs to redouble his efforts.

As a trainer, Elias does his bests to bring out the natural strengths of his Pokemon, rather than force them to adjust to a role they aren't good with. However, he's not very dedicated to any particular training regimen, which suits his team just fine.

Biography: Elias was born of the Baudin family farm, outside Dendemille, and grew up raising food crops, chasing Miltanks, and playing with his older brother, Lionel. This continued up until Elias was 15, when his brother was 18. He left the farm to be a Pokemon trainer. With their father's blessing, he borrowed the family Sunflora, and went off into the wilds to catch his own Pokemon. Lionel came back months later to return the Sunflora a changed man. He had travelled across a good bit of Kalos, searching for just the right Pokemon for him. He'd finally found what he was looking for, in the form of a strange, red-bladed Honedge. He left again soon after, but Elias was kept up many nights from hearing his parents argue about Lionel's behavior when he was home. He'd barely eaten, and had apparently spoken cruelly to his father about "boring life on a farm" before leaving.

However, the worry was eventually forgotten, as the spring came again, and Elias and his father spent the days planting and caring for a sick Miltank. Then, summer, and more planting, and a few eggs to hatch. Then, fall, and harvest time was here. Before they realized it, Lionel had fallen out of their thoughts altogether. It wasn't long after that that Elias' parents decided that he should go see the world, as his brother had done. For his 17th birthday, they purchased an Electrike from a market, and it and Elias were fast friends. They hung out around Dendemille for a while, returning to their farm every night, but his parents urged him to go further and further afield. Eventually, he was leaving for days at a time, then weeks, then months. At this point, he's coming up on a year since he began wandering, and hasn't been home for 6 months. He wandered all over Kalos, seeing the sights, battling beginner trainers like him, catching his Pokemon. He eventually caught word of his brother Lionel in Lumiose City, and went to see him. The man he met wasn't Lionel at all. He was completely changed- darker, duller eyes, gaunt, and cruel. He sicced two of his goons on Elias when he started yelling about how they were raised. Then, out of nowhere, a most unlikely savior appeared, with a Magikarp and an Alakazam. Together, they fought off the thugs, but Lionel was leaving contemptuously. Elias shouted his name at the boy, thanking him for his help, and then set off after his brother, who battled him in the street, his Honedge bringing unbelievable power to bear, quickly demolishing all of Elias' Pokemon.

Elias woke up in a Pokecenter the next day, his Pokemon fully restored, if not their spirits. At that moment, a flier for the Amateur World Tournament caught his eye, and, in an attempt to raise their spirits, he promised his Pokemon that they would compete- and win, if Elias had anything to do with it. Additionally, it gave him a reason to leave his homeland- and his brother- behind. And so, with a phonecall home, Elias set off across the ocean, landing in Johto the week before the tourney, not really sure how he felt about having left his lifelong home. But here he was, having made a promise to his Pokemon, and he was going to keep it. He also hoped to see the mysterious savior again, but they were now on opposite sides of the world, so it was unlikely. Still, the Amateur World Tournament might attract him.

Storm: Level 26 male Electrike
Ability: Lightning Rod

Moves:
-Quick Attack
-Spark
-Thunder Wave
-Howl
-Thunderbolt (TM)
-Crunch (Egg Move)

Storm was Elias' first Pokemon, and as such, still his favored one. He quickly learned, however, that it's best to diversify, and now only uses Storm if he's well-suited, or if no one else can handle an enemy.
Storm himself is a quiet companion, often running off ahead of Elias to sniff something out, but he inevitably returns before nightfall.

Rain: Level 25 female Azumarill
Ability: Huge Power

Moves:
-Aqua Tail
-Bubble Beam
-Defense Curl
-Rollout
-Waterfall (TM)
-Superpower (Egg Move)

Rain is the team member whose strategy most aligns with Elias'- hit things until they're unconcious. She does this often, and as such, she's quickly grown in power, bringing her to the point where, even with type differences, she can beat down Storm... Sometimes. Especially when Elias doesn't step in and pull them apart.

Thunder: Level 24 female Noibat
Ability: Infiltrator

Moves:
-Supersonic
-Leech Life
-Bite
-Wing Attack
-Roost (TM)
-Snatch (Egg Move)

Thunder, despite her bombastic name, is the most subtle of the group, and, as such, often at odds with Elias' battling style, occasionaly going so far as to ignore his orders in battle for cleverer tactics. As such, he and she are often at odds, but he's trying to work with her to get better at her style of fighting.

Edit v1.1: Added relationship with Ruedyn's character.
Name: Jean Labelle

Age: 19

Gender: Boy

City/Region: Lumiose City, Kalos

Appearance: Jean is a tall, fit young man, standing around 6'0", weighing in at about 160lbs, with large grey eyes, set above a thin, hatchet face, though its severity is offset by his eternal half-smirk. He wears his blond hair short, and never speaks of what he used to do with his hair. His chin's perennially stubbled, but never quite seems to grow at outright beard.

He dresses athletically, in a red t-shirt made of some synthetic material, and a pair of black running tights, with red running shoes underneath. He wears a black, fingerless glove on one hand, with plastic palms for grip while climbing. His pack looks expensive, but it's served him well for years now, ergonomic and well-suited for carrying while running. His Pokeballs are clipped to the bottom of this bag, making for an easy grab should he need them.

Personality: Jean is flighty and playful, but he's been trying to get better about not treating all of life like a joke. Even Pokemon battles aren't exempt, unless Jean decides they're important battles. The only thing he's really serious about is his running. Jean practices the distinctly urban Kalosian art of parkour, and his Pokemon, as much as they can, join in.

Speaking of his Pokemon, Jean does his best to treat them well. He treats them like he would a good friend, but he's too undisiciplined to really bring together a cohesive team, but they all have fun together, and the three members of his team have long since decided that that's all they really want in a trainer. And if they sometimes lose a fight because Jean made a bad call, so be it.

Jean had an easy childhood, the son of a well-to-do trophy wife and a businesman father. Perhaps it was a little to easy, but he's mostly outgrown his spoiled temper tantrums. When Jean was three, his parents decided to have another child. And so, soon, Jean had a younger brother, Francois. A few years after that, though, the marriage began to fall apart, and Jean had to learn to care for himself and his little brother, as his mother left for parts unknown with nary a note. His father began working later and later, sleeping at the office a few times. Then, as Jean grew up, "a few times" became once a month, then two or three times a month. Before too long, their father would spent a couple nights a week at the office, working late into the night, crashing on a cot in the janitor's closet, and getting up the next morning to work more. At sixteen, Jean had had just about enough of playing mom, and left. He ran into a group of parkourists who just kinda assumed he was homeless, so he ran with it. They taught him how to run, jump, climb, and scramble all over cities, and how to get into places people didn't want you to go. He only realized that his new friends were theives when they gave him a gift- a strange, orange device, and a Pokeball containing a Froakie- and then disappeared. He was caught carrying the stolen propery a few days later.

He was handcuffed, and brought before Professor Sycamore. He wasn't overly concerned about the theft, so long as the Pokedex wasn't going to waste, and the Pokemon wasn't being hurt. So he gifted Jean the previously stolen items, much to Jean and the police officers' bafflements. He put Jean to work as a junior researcher, using the boy's talents to get out of sight of wild Pokemon to observe and study their reactions to stones Sycamore had placed in various places.

In short, Jean thought he was nutters. But, it was steady work, and paid alright. Eventually, Sycamore gave up that attempt at research, deciding it wasn't bearing fruit. He then cut Jean more or less loose, but asking him to check in now and again.

So Jean began to wander, at the ripe age of 17. He wandered Kalos, nearly losing his Froakie to an extremely agressive Hawlucha. However, the pair pulled through, and two things happened: Jean caught a Hawlucha, and Froakie finally got strong enough to evolve, to Frogadier. And so the second member of the team joined, and quickly proved to take kindly to beating down Pokemon from far and wide.

Soon after, Jean heard tell of a Labelle woman who a traveller had met in Unova. Jean immediately found a ship, and sailed halfway across the world. There, he found evidence of his missing mother, now a powerful trainer, but couldn't find hide nor hair from her. Except, the night before he left, his door was knocked at. When he opened it, no one was there. But someone had left a note and a Pokeball.

"For the birthdays I missed," was all the note said. Inside the Pokeball was a Blitzle, bringing his team to three. However, he still left the next day- his mother had eluded him for his entire month-long sojourn, despite being close enough to leave him a note. She obviously didn't want to be
found.

Back in Kalos, he returned to Lumiose a changed person. He hadn't realized how much he'd grown from the scared, angry kid who ran away from home. He check in on Professor Sycamore, taking coffee with him one morning. Then, Jean braced himself for the worst, and returned to his family home. What he found was an old, worn-down man, and a young man with fire in his eyes. They hardly recognized Jean, and his entire visit was about as awkward as could be. However, after his father went to bed that night, Jean and his younger brother Francois sat up late, talking about their lives. Francois had become a fighter in a local Pokemon battling club, showing up with weak-looking Pokemon before swapping into his stronger Pokemon. Jean tried to warn him, but nothing doing- he insisted he was just "being smart."

Jean stayed in his old bedroom that night, but returned to a hotel. He wasn't comfortable there. He guessed he never had been. But he had regained his protective spark, and began worrying about his younger brother. True to his worry, a week later, Francois called Jean crying. He'd been doing his normal battle sharking when someone took offense, and started beating the shit out of him and his Pokemon. Thankfully, a stranger had appeared out of nowhere, and beat down the thugs with Francois.

Jean chastised Francois, asking him if he caught the man's name. He hadn't. Typical. But he did have a description, and a flyer that'd fallen out of the man's bag- the Amateur World Tournament in Johto. Jean met Francois, and said his goodbyes. For one, he decided he wanted to see Johto. For two, he wanted to thank his little brother's savior. And so Jean set off across the ocean once again, saying his goodbyes to the worn-out father and younger brother, as well as the eccentric professor. He landed in Olivine not long after, and set off for Goldenrod.

Chapar: Level 28 male Frogadier
Ability: Torrent

Moves:
-Quick Attack
-Bubble
-Lick
-Water Pulse
-Scald (TM)
-Camoflage (Egg Move)

Jean's partner of some years, Chapar is quiet and sensible, in stark contrast to his master. Chapar takes battle and responsibility both very seriously, but has long since grown to accept his master's shortcomings. Sort of. In battle, Chapar's typical strategy is avoidance- don't be where you enemy wants you to be and you can get pretty far, he thinks.

Lutta: Level 28 female Hawlucha
Ability: Unburden

Moves:
-Karate Chop
-Aerial Ace
-Roost
-Flying Press
-Acrobatics (TM)
-Me First (Egg)

Lutta is the most firey of the team, passionate and daring. She fights with victory ever in mind, however, and is willing to use abilities like Roost or Me First to win the day, even if it's not entirely "honorable." She has yet to entirely come to terms with losses, and after lost battles, Jean often has to contend with a very angry Hawlucha.

Cheveau: Level 19 male Blitzle
Ability: Motor Drive

Moves:
-Quick Attack
-Charge
-Shockwave
-Flame Charge
-Wild Charge (TM)
-Double-Edge (Egg)

Cheveau is the newest member of the team, and somewhat of an enigma. He was a gift from Jean's mother, but where did she get him? And, for that matter, why does his preferred strategy seem to be "hurt them and myself?" Jean doesn't know, and tries not to think about it. However, in the past few months, Jean and the other two have made strides with Cheveau, and he's beginning to be a proper team member.

Aaand second character. Wasn't quite happy with the first one.

Name: Ethan Ueda

Age: 19

Gender: Boy

City/Region: Hoenn, Sootopolis

Appearance: Standing at 5'7", with a wiry build to match, Ethan is not the most intimidating man in the room. His sandy brown hair is worn shaggy, not long enough to hinder, but not particularly short either. His beard scruff looks itchy, but does keep him from looking like a thirteen year old. His dark brown eyes don't much help how ordinary he looks, either.

His clothing is often far too heavy for where he is, though he has the amazing trait of being able to look cool wherever he is. His usual outfit is a dark hooded sweatshirt over a thermal, hood often pulled just over his ears, a pair of light blue jeans, and a pair of running shoes. He's never seen without his tan scarf, either around his neck or over his head if his hood is unavailable.

Personality: A naturally timid boy, many question his decision to be a trainer. However, his pokemon are proof enough he has some idea what he's doing, quickly following his orders through his light stutter. His training with the 8th gym of the Hoenn seems to create a strong counter to his usual demeanor, very worried about grace and style, and usually playing up to the crowds. His stutter never truly leaves, and actually seems to get worse in battles. His pokemon have learned to use this to their advantage, following his orders while he struggles to get through them. In a battle, he prefers to pick and prod at defenses, striking hard and fast when he sees the chance. He?s not much a sore loser or winner, simply muttering "Good match" after a battle before seeing to his pokemon partners. His flash and pomp simply disappear, in favor of introversion, only having long conversations with his partners lately. Scales seems to be his favorite to converse with, and has turned into a sort of angry journal.

Biography: Born in Sootopolis, the meteor town in the middle of nowhere, you?d think he?d lead a boring, isolated life. But, he was lucky enough to see something few ever get the chance to?in triplicate! He got front row tickets to the battle of the three Legendaries, from right out his front window. It was something that sparked a massive interest in the boy, his few trips out with Scales suddenly becoming a career choice. He started training his magikarp at the local gym, quickly becoming the least effective person around. One day, a traveler took pity on him, bringing him a wounded Pelipper he?d caught but didn?t have a use for. Ethan gladly took it, flying out of Sootopolis as soon as it was healthy enough, and not looking back once since. He?s since gained an Alakazam, the result of a bet whether Scales could swim from one end of a lake to the other in under 5 minutes. Luckily, it was raining.

His first test with his team came the day after, when he found a poor boy being assaulted by thugs! With the quick assistance of his team, he managed to help the boy and his team beat the thugs handily. Ethan thought this meant he was ready to take on the Pokemon league, but has quickly become a bit less sure, stopping by this tournament to see if his skills are as good as he believes.

Magikarp- Scales- Female- Level 19
Ability: Swift Swim
- Tackle
- Splash
A slightly bigger, very angry Magikarp, Scales is close to evolving, and can she feel it. She's easily the first in the party to pick a fight, and due to being a Magikarp, the first to go down. Still, her drive is the strongest among the team. Her iron will and blind refusal to ever surrender is an inspiration to the rest of the team.

Pelipper- Shao- Female- Level 25
Ability: Keen Eye
- Hurricane
- Super Sonic
- Wing Attack
- Mist
- Protect
- Blizzard(TM)
Shao was Ethan's ticket out of Sootopolis, and has been both his best friend and the main reason he hasn't died terribly on the road ever since. She has a near endless patience, and often tries to avoid battles, especially with electric types. She dislikes staying inside her pokeball for too long, keeping an eye on everything high from the sky above.

Alakazam- Uri- Male- Level 29
Ability: Synchronize
- Teleport
- Disable
- Confusion
- Psycho Cut
- Psybeam
- Shadow Ball(TM)
The most disciplined of the party, likely because he was trained by someone else. Takes training very seriously, usually alone. He never underestimates his opponent, no matter how small the package, a lesson he's learned from Scales. Uri's also the most self serving of the party, rarely going out of his way to help a partner in battle. Only really works with Shao consistently, as they're all but forced to train together.

Bulb- Chinchou- Male- Level 2
Ability: Volt Absorb
- Bubble
- Supersonic
- Shock Wave(Egg)
- Thunder(TM)
The team baby, and the most heavily coddled of the lot. Ethan always keeps Bulb close, and rarely if ever actually allows it to fight, citing "It's too cute to harm things!" Despite this fact, it has the potential to be one of his better ones. If only he had any idea how to go about training a baby...

Name: Kyra Stevens

Age: 15

Gender: Female

City/Region: Slateport City, Hoenn Region

Young and still growing, Kyra stands at an around five and a half feet tall. She is well tanned from many hours spent out in the sun and she wears her long brown hair in a simple ponytail down her back. Usually found smiling, her eyes are deep brown and mirthful and set in a narrow but pretty face.

Kyra's usual attire consists of a simple red shirt, white skirt and sneakers. She also carries a tracksuit and jeans for when the weather gets colder. Whenever she gets the chance to dive into the ocean or a river, she'll wear her red bikini. Her sports backpack was never anything fancy, but it is tough and has served her well so far.

An avid nature and Pokemon lover, Kyra goes through life with a smile on her face. Kind and caring to her Pokemon companions, she fusses over them and will often put their wellbeing over her own. Despite this she doesn't hold back when battling, having something of a competitive streak. She is highly confident in her and her Pokemon's abilities and can get frustrated if she loses a battle or something doesn't go quite how she planned it. She doesn't dwell on such occasions for very long though, not being one to hold a grudge.

She particularly loves the ocean and enjoys nothing more than a good swim with her Pokemon and friends. A keen sense of adventure drives her to travel and explore the world and she's always on the lookout for new places to visit, people to meet and Pokemon to discover.

Growing up as the daughter of a fisherman in Slateport City, Kyra spent about as much of her childhood in or on the ocean as she did on land. She took many trips out to Pacificdlog Town and the surrounding seas on her father's boat, swimming and playing with her family's Wingull as her father fished. When she was not on the boat she could usually be found on Slateport's beach, either in the water or watching trainers battle on the sand.

Having always wanted to become a Pokemon trainer and making that very clear to her parents, she travelled to Professor Birch's laboratory in Littleroot Town once her parents thought she was old enough. There she was given the choice of three different Pokemon. After much agonizing she picked the cute water Pokemon Mudkip and named him Kip.

So began Kyra's journey through the Hoenn region, travelling to Petalburg City, Dewford Town and many other locations. Eventually she found herself on Route 117, and it was there that she encountered a wild Roselia. The elegant Pokemon captivated Kyra and with the help of her newly evolved Marshstomp, she caught her second Pokemon. After training with her new companion for a while and battling many trainers, she felt confident enough to challenge a gym leader for the first time. The closest gym at the time was the one in Mauville City. Much to her dismay however, when she arrived at the gym she learned that the Leader was absent and had travelled to the Johto region.

That was how Kyra found out about the Amatuer World Tournment being held in Goldenrod City. Determined to make her appearance there, Kyra dashed home to Slateport and begged and pleaded with her parents to buy her a ferry ticket. Despite their reservations they eventually caved, and shortly after Kyra was stepping off the boat into a brand new region for the first time. Having arrived before the beginning of the tournament, Kyra explored the areas around Goldenrod a little and managed to obtain a third Pokemon, this time a feisty little Krabby. With her three Pokemon at her side, Kyra is ready and excited for the event to begin!

Name: Sean Gallagher

Age: 21

Place of Origin: Rural Unova

190 cm tall, slightly tanned, very thin with shoulder-length dark brown hair and brown eyes. He also sports a goatee. Has a somewhat noticeable scar across his brow and bridge and wears a trilby (which he obliviously wears backwards). His clothing is a general mish-mash of what he thinks to be the latest fashion trends in Kalos and Unova.

He sports a black trenchcoat/vest/white shirt combo.

He wears black cargo pants along with black/red sports shoes on the lower body without realising how inconsistent it looks.

Accessories include fingerless gloves, round orange-coloured sunglasses and a large dark blue/black backpack.

His facial expression is typically a dreamy one with a hint of a smile. In line with that, his posture is relaxed and he has a tendency to put both hands behind the head while walking.

When excited or when he finds himself captivated by something, his facial expression sharpens, with a flare in his eyes and a grin in his face.

Easy-going to a fault, Sean has a liking for exploring and studying various kinds of Pokemon, particularly those of the areas he finds himself in, as well as reading about them. As such, he is very knowledgeable about Pokemon in general. As he sees himself much more of a scholar than a fighter, he generally prefers to study and investigate over getting into Pokemon fights.

Generally friendly, Sean doesn't mind travelling with others, provided they aren't too clingy. When annoyed, he can get quite snarky but unlikely to get upset unless its about a sensitive topic

Overall, though, he prefers the company of his pokemon, which is why he often travels alone.

Being loyal, he is very attached to the pokemon he captures, seeing the beasts on an equal footing rather than as weapons. He likes to set them loose outside of cities as he is not too fond of keeping them constantly contained.

Sean loves cooking and is more than a competent cook.

Evident by the way he dresses, he is doesn?t have a lick of sense on fashion.

The middle child of his family, Sean looked up to his parents and older brother. His mother owned a pokemon ranch, his brother was an accomplished pokemon trainer and his father was a researcher, who would often take young Sean along with him when conducting research.

When Sean was twelve, his father took him with him to Mistralton Cave, where he was conducting research on the behaviour of the Axew pokemon there. While his father was absorbed in his studies, Sean wandered off and found a pair of Axew, the bigger of which threatening an Aron. Approaching them from behind as he were, he surprised the pair of Axew, which resulted in the bigger one lashing out at him, slashing his face and giving him the scar that he wears to this day. His father reacted quickly and saved him, ensuring the well-being of his son and the pokemon in the process.

He felt uneasy with having to live together with those same pokemon that had once traumatised him. This reluctance was shared with the Aron, who was also scared by the Axew above and under the eye. Over time, though, with the subtle encouragement of his mother, and seeing his brothers befriend the Axew, both Sean and Sol ultimately set aside their grievances and started seeing them as friends.

Seeing his older brother depart to become a pokemon trainer, Sean too eventually set out together with Sol, eager to explore Unova.

Their travels were largely uneventful; with the exception of the occasional duel with trainers, Sean was left to his own devices. Fascinated as he was with observing wild pokemon in their natural environment, it was during this time that Sean decided that he wanted to travel around the world and observe the different environments and the pokemon in them.

And so, with Unova done, Sean next set out to Kalos. Coming in contact with Kalos' different customs was quite the culture shock for him, and he grew to admire the fashion sense (despite being quite unsuccessful in emulating it). He was fascinated by its history, captivated by its scenery and intrigued by its pokemon. Exhaustive as he was with his exploration of Kalos, it was only logical that, during his venture into the Glittering Cave, that he came across a Jaw Fossil. With its revival at the Fossil lab, Sean gained his second companion, whom he dubbed Ragna.

During his travels, Sean was entrusted a pokemon egg by his mother. Though nervous at the prospect at first, he grew to enjoy carrying and caring for it, curious to see what kind of pokemon was going to hatch from it.

One night, as they were sleeping, the party was raided by a band of zigzagoon thieves, who also stole the egg. After a day of distressed searching of the general area, they found the supplies and egg along with the band, who were actually being bullied by a Pyroar into getting him food. After a climactic confrontation, during which the egg hatched, Ragna beat the Pyroar, setting the band of zigzagoon free in the process. The oldest of the bunch, thankful for freeing his family and friends, wished to join the crew, and Sean gladly welcomed him.

Having gained two new companions, Sean finished his exploration of Kalos. Hungry for more, he set his sights on the region he decided to visit next: Johto.

Life in Unova was initially difficult, but he eventually managed and got himself an office job in Castelia city. Leopold always felt that life as an office worker was pretty swell, until an incident that involved 2 weeks of overtime: massive deadlines in an already hectic work environment caused Leopold to pass out from stress.

After that, management felt that Leopold needed some vacation due to fact that he was already part of the senior staff and hadn't taken any time of work for the last 6 years. It was either that or the possibility of facing charges from the labour union.Three weeks after that, Leopold arrived in Goldenrod city, to try to get some enjoyment out of the Tournament.

Here's my character
Name: Melody Garreth

Age: 22

Gender: Girl

City/Region: Originally from Lumiose City, Kalos, but currently resides in Saffron City, Kanto

Appearance: Standing at an imposing 6'2", Melody was never one to blend in with the crowd. With her build, she was destined to either be a model or a fighter, and she chose the latter. Daily weight training, jogging, and sparring have her weighing 205lbs of solid muscle. Melody doesn't neglect any part of her body, and as a result is equally toned all over. She has mid-length indigo hair that falls to the middle of her shoulder blades, usually kept in a tight, high ponytail.

Melody's clothes are pretty uniform, almost as though she shops at the same place as all the fighting type users in the Hoenn region. She has a collection of skin-tight tops that bare her midriff, and a matching collection of skin-tight shorts. She has this outfit in just about every color, and keeps them all rolled up together in a small blue backpack. She also wears fingerless gloves, sneakers, and a belt she ties in the front, all a matching black. Her belt has 6 built in notches for her Pokeballs. When the weather gets cold, she wears a white karate gi over her other clothing to keep herself a little warmer.

Personality: Melody is a fighter, through and through. Her time in Saffron's dojo instilled in her a deep sense of honor and trust for her comrades. It also made her obsessed with staying in peak physical condition at all times. She exercises every day, as soon as she wakes up in the morning, with her Pokemon. Despite her excellent physical condition and knowledge of martial arts, she doesn't enjoy hurting other people. She would much rather have a Pokemon battle, where the risk of causing irreparable damage to someone is much, much lower.

As for Pokemon, Melody harbors an almost unconditional love for all Pokemon. She has raised, bred, battled, trained with, worked with, and played with Pokemon in her time at the dojo. She know that Pokemon all have their own stories, and tries not to judge Pokemon by their surface level behaviors. The one exception to this rule, however, is Psychic Pokemon. Her constant exposure to the dojo members that were all trumped by Sabrina has caused Melody to see Psychic types as untrustworthy creatures that only cause pain. She is not immediately forthcoming with her hatred of Psychic types, but anyone with a keen eye would be able to see how she tenses up when there are any Psychic Pokemon around.

Melody is also a relatively social person. Moving to a new region at the vulnerable age of 14 helped her become more outgoing so that she'd be able to make new friends. While she can be rather serious and has a woefully undeveloped sense of humor, she loves being around both other people and Pokemon. She's also never one to back down from a challenge. Even if she has no idea how to do something, she will try her best at it if someone challenges her to it.

Biography: Melody grew up an only child in Lumiose City, Kalos. She never had a Pokemon of her own, but loved playing with local Pokemon, and riding on the Gogoat taxi service. Her mother worked in a big corporation, while her father, a long retired Pokemon breeder, spent time taking care of the home and raising Melody. On her 14th birthday however, everything seemed to be changing when her parents surprised her with a Pokeball containing an untrained Litleo. Melody named her Gwen, and they sent off on their Pokemon adventure together.

However, she was barely gone for a month before her parents called her home with some life changing news. Her mother had just gotten a new job in Saffron City, Kanto, and the family would be moving there immediately. Melody was shattered. Her journey had just begun, and now it was over. Her parents, being unfamiliar with Kanto, told her she wasn't allowed to quest around Kanto as she had planned to do around Kalos.

Melody had hardly been in Saffron for a month however, when she stumbled into Saffron's old gym, the fighting dojo. Just like that, she found her new home. Gwen and Melody trained daily at the dojo, both of them much stronger from the experience. It was during this training time that she caught a Heracross that fell from a tree just outside of Saffron City. She named him Gaw, and included him in training with the other Pokemon at the dojo.

However, it was also during this time that she began to learn about Sabrina from the other trainers there. No one had a single good word to say about her, and many of the older member felt dishonored that she was able to beat them and take their gym status away. Melody stewed with anger towards the Psychic type trainer, and at the age of 18, she went next door to challenge Sabrina to a battle. Melody, knowing Bug types were strong against Psychics, used Gaw. However, his half Fighting type proved his downfall, as Sabrina's Kadabra effortlessly defeated both him and Gwen.

Melody vowed to become strong enough to beat Sabrina, but knew that just becoming stronger wouldn't be enough. She needed to have the type advantage over Sabrina's Psychic types, and she knew just how to do it, with a Dark type Pokemon. With their natural immunity to Psychic types, Dark types seemed the natural choice to go against Sabrina. After doing a bit of research, Melody learned that a Dark Pokemon, Houndour, could be found at nights on the same route that she caught Gaw. That very night, she encountered and caught a Houndour, naming him Lancel, and began to prepare him for a battle with Sabrina. Melody, now 20, challenged Sabrina again. Yet, when faced with a Dark type, Sabrina sent out her Alakazam, who knocked out Lancel with a single Focus Blast.

After her second defeat at the hands of Sabrina, Melody took a step back from battling, and took care of the dojo's Pokemon instead. In particular, she cared for a Pokemon Egg that came from the dojo master himself. After months of delicate care, the egg hatched into a Tyrogue, that made the final addition to Melody's team. It was the day that Artie the Tyrogue hatched that Melody learned about the Goldenrod tournament. Melody decided that it was time to resume her training in a new environment, to become strong enough to one day beat Sabrina and restore honor to the Fighting dojo.

Pokémon:

Litleo- Gwen (Female) Level 25

Nature: Lonely

Ability: Rivalry

Fire Fang
Take Down
Headbutt
Ember
Noble Roar
Work Up

Melody's first Pokemon, and the only one that she brought from Kalos with her. Gwen is an unnaturally small Litleo, only measuring about a foot and a half long instead of two feet like most other members of her species. Melody received her as a gift for her 14th birthday, and the two have been inseparable since. While they weren't able to adventure much together before they relocated to Kanto, Gwen was the closest thing that Melody had to a friend until she joined the fighting dojo.

Gwen is not a very social Pokemon, and doesn't like to be outside her Pokeball unless she's eating or battling. She was bullied by other Pokemon in the wild due to her small size, so she is naturally very distrustful of others. However, her size hasn't stopped her from being quite the scrapper. Gwen is more than eager to battle other Pokemon, and gives the fighting types at the dojo a run for their money with her surprising speed and tenacity. Gwen is Melody's running parter, and always goes on her morning jogs with her to increase her strength and stamina.

Heracross- Gaw (Male) Level 28
Nature: Jolly
Ability: Guts
Brick Break
Fury Attack
Aerial Ace
Counter
Chip Away
Bug Bite (Tutor)

After a particular tough battle against a Mankey owned by one of the members of the dojo, Melody and Gwen were doing some training outside of Saffron City when Gwen missed a Headbutt, hitting a tree instead of a wild Pidgey. Out of the tree fell the Heracross that would become Gaw. Upon seeing his Fighting type attacks in action against her Litleo, Melody caught him to finally have a true Fighting type Pokemon to train at the dojo with. Gaw has since become her main battler and strongest Pokemon.

Gaw is the most easy going out of Melody's team, and enjoys having fun outside of his Pokeball with both people and other Pokemon. He's no slouch in battle, however, and likes to run circles around his opponents before overpowering them with brute force. Gaw is Melody's sparring partner, and the two of them have forged a deep bond through their daily fights. Melody has never lost yet.

Houndour- Lancel (Male) Level 21
Nature: Rash
Ability: Flash Fire
Ember
Howl
Smog
Roar
Bite
Thunder Fang (Egg)

Lancel was originally caught to counter and beat Sabrina's Pokemon. However, with no training and a weakness to Alakazam's Focus Blast, he went down fast. Melody was determined to make him stronger however, and kept Lancel as a permanent member of her team. Lancel is her distance fighter, preferring to hit opponents at long range rather than getting up close and personal.

Lancel is the most hotheaded member of Melody's team, more than eager to fight even when the odds are stacked against him. Unlike the rest of the team however, he is not fond of training, and prefers to nap in the sun while the others are working. Lancel also has a bit of a crush on Gwen, and always works harder whenever she's around. He also tries to defend her when she's in danger, even though she's stronger than he is.

Tyrogue- Artie (Male) Level 1
Nature: Impish
Ability: Steadfast
Tackle
Helping Hand
Fake Out
Foresight
Bullet Punch (Egg)
Thief (TM)

Artie hatched from an egg that the members of the fighting dojo were taking care of. Melody played a big part in nursing the egg, and when it hatched into a Tyrogue, she was the first person it saw, and the baby Pokemon stuck right to her. It was the very day that Artie hatched that Melody decided to go to Goldenrod City, and made sure to take the newest member of her team along for the ride.

Artie may not have much experience fighting, but he certainly is energetic. He likes to play pranks on his teammates, and has, on more than one occasion, stolen things from others, like food and hats. Though he is not quite strong enough to fight yet, Artie partakes in Melody's strength training with her, trying to get stronger every day.

I'm debating on whether to submit a new or modified char sheet, will post soon regardless.
I just happened to look on the RP forum and I saw this. Been thinking about doing this stuff again, may have to whip a sheet.

Alright, time for a round of review! Sorry for the delay, everyone; it's been a busy week here on our end. Still, it's looking like we've got some good submissions, though a few changes might be appropriate here or there.

The sheet's not as pretty as it could be, but I do like Miles' concept and team. Lovestruck fight-happy guys are always fun in my book. It'd be great if you could give the sheet a once-over and dress the grammar up a bit, but the core stuff seems solid.

Cyrus seems like a fun guy to hate! Nice sheet, decently balanced team, token asshole teammate... Yeah, I like it. And the backstory with Reza's cute.

Eh, to be honest, Kira strikes me as kind of bland. There's nothing wrong with his personality or backstory, certainly, but there's not a whole lot that sticks out either. The sheet's also a little hard to read; some editing would be appreciated, and if you could cut down some of the detail in the Pokemon section, it'd be much more legible. His team is pretty well constructed though; I like the Pokemon he's selected.

And it seems like Harley's been reincarnated! No complaints here; I still remember her shenanigans from the last RP.

A few comments on this one. Relia's team is just a tad overwhelming. Two of the three might be acceptable alongside a more common Pokemon, but all three of them together's too much. And her backstory, particularly the bit with Feeby, is kind of weirding me out.

...Well, looking on the bright side of things, at least he doesn't ride around in a pimped-out truck named The Party Wagon.

Personally, I like Jean better than Elias too. Seems to have a bit more character to him, and his backstory has plenty of shenanigans potential. Good time selection, decent sheet all around.

Not too shabby, all things considered. His personality and backstory might benefit from a bit more detail, but what's already there is fine. And while I'm not exactly wild about his team, it's certainly not too OP or anything. I think I'd like it if at least one more of his Pokemon were from Hoenn, but that's not something that breaks the sheet.

A solid sheet all around, though there isn't really anything exceptional about it. Good team, decent backstory, etc. It might be more fun to see Kyra with a quirk or two, but what you've already got is good. No complaints from me.

Just to confirm, it was Tanit that hatched out of that egg, right?

While I like Sean's personality and backstory (the Zigzagoon band was a good touch, and you've gotta love someone with his lack of fashion sense), his team's got a bit too much Dragon-type going on. Some adjustment there would be appreciated.

Well, that's an appropriate avatar if I ever saw one.

I like the idea of an older businessman, but Leopold's sheet is kind of sparse. Some more detail on a few sections would help give us a better idea of how he might behave. Also, and this is just me being pointlessly nitpicky, could you place all of his Pokemon in one spoiler box? Triple-nesting spoilers is a tad much.

I don't have too much to say here. Melody has a pretty neat backstory and character, and I like her team as well. Looks like she's got some fun potential.

And that's it for the current crop of applicants! It looks like there might still be a few sheets in the works, so we won't be closing applications just yet, but the sooner you get your sheets completed, the better.

As always, if anyone has any questions, feel free to ask.

Name: Kira Shero

Age: 20

Gender: Male

City/Region: Driftveil city/ Unova

Appearance:
Standing at 5'11 Kira looked more like a post than anything else, his body thin and tall. His green eye coming through oval glasses perched precariously on a crooked nose with a scar running down through the left from forehead to left cheek. Under the previously broken nose a mouth used to smiling with thin lips sits inside a trimmed beard and mustache. Above his glasses a short trimmed head of hair dark brown the same as his beard sits under a reversed hat with a pokeball on the front.

He wears a silver chain necklace with no real value other than to him in the fact it holds a charm that can connect to a pokeball but not stop it if tugged off, his first and most scratched pokeball usually hanging off it shrunk. This rests on a blue tee-shirt under a vest with several pockets on the outside and two inside as well, sleeveless and coming down to just above where his waist ends. His pants are worn but well taken care of, a faded blue jeans tucked into boots he has a thigh holder with several other pokeballs and small trivial things in easy reach.

His backpack is utilitarian and looks new, holding a sleeping bag ontop and a folded up bike with a few missing pieces on the back the insides are mostly full of what he believes he will need.

Personality:
Kira is for the most part a friendly person, trying to see the best in all he comes across man or pokemon. Sometimes that is shredded by someones actions but almost always he will greet someone new with a smile and hello. The few who do not, in his opinion, are those who treat their pokemons badly earn his abrupt and sometimes explosive temper.

Even his own pokemon who sometimes will have fits he will treat well though chastising them afterwards. He doesn't feel it his is his place to tell others how to treat their pokemon until he sees them being mistreated then he forgets that and will gladly tell them how to, even so far as to physically or in a pokemon battle show them they are wrong.

Biography
Kira was born in Unova in Driftveil city, not to very important or rich or amazing parents. But they gave their son a good teaching on how treat others and pokemon and when he was 10 when most other children were going to a professor to get a pokemon he was taken out into the forest and his dad helped him catch one his very own. It took him several hours of looking with his dad and his pokemon before he found something in the grass that caught his eyes, a little Joltik moving around all on its own. After watching it move and his dad telling him that he needed to get a move on to find his pokemon he chose the Joltik and after a little battle caught him and ran back home holding the pokeball in his bands and right into the poke-center to get him healed. After that they were inseparable and Jolt spent much of his time on Kira's head or on his shoulder watching him move around and moving himself if he felt there was a danger to himself.

Not long after catching his Jolt Kira was walking in the forest again testing his new pokemon out on the now slightly weaker wild ones and leaving them weakened but not dead or even passed out in most cases. Coming on a nest and deciding that he needed a new pokemon to join Jolt Kira sent his little spider up into the tree to flush the flying pokemon out and after a short but intense battle with it Jolt watched as the little pidove falls to the ground into Kira's arms where it is touched to a pokeball and sent into it. Rushing back again to the poke-center and getting this pokemon healed up Kira was proud of himself for doubling his pokemon by himself.

As Kira was growing up his father would take him with him when he would go to other places setting up meets with other shop owners and suppliers. Most of them were either unexciting or had nothing to do with pokemon but in the 10 years he had been doing this since his first time till now he had broken 3 bones and almost lost an arm to a raging Charzard when it got out. This time when he was with his father he had Jolt and Sky with him and he was feeling better about exploring. As his father was talking with some shop owners Kira was walking through the tall grass just outside of town letting his pokemon pounce on other ones knocking them out and eating them when they were hungry. As he was moving and it was getting night he was torn between staying in the forest for the night or going back. As he was trying to figure it out he got suddenly dizzy and walked face first into a tree and stumbled back holding his face as his Jolt jumps off him into the tree he had slammed into. As Kira tries to gather his balance and finds that he cant Jolt moves through the branches before spotting the reason for the sudden loss of balance. Jumping down and attacking the Ralts in the grass that had been watching and hit Kira with confusion when he got to close they started fighting back and forth as Kira slowly regained his balance and ability to walk. When he finally could he walked over to see that Jolt had won and was standing over the beaten Ralts ready to give the final blow when Kira stopped him and told him that he wanted to try something. Dropping a pokeball on the downed Ralts he watches as it rolls back and forth before giving the tone and glowing red for a second. Lifting it he can feel a little happiness at growing his team again but when he looked down at Jolt he can feel the radiating lines of disapproval in his stance. Laughing softly and lifting Jolt to his normal place Kira walked back to town to leave with his father back home the next day.

After a few years when Kira was 16 he went on his own little traveling time like many other of his friends had but his was cut short by a homesickness and an uninterested at the time of having his still fairy weak pokemon getting hurt as much as they were. On his way home he cut through a place where a sandstorm was raging and covering his eyes was running as fast as he could when something caught his foot and made him face plant into the sand. Looking back and seeing that he had kicked a little mole pokemon and knocked it out when he had kicked it on the back of the head. Reaching back and picking it up he starts to run when the pokemon started thrashing after waking up somewhere it didn't know and slashes his eye through his glasses hard enough to not only ruin his eye but give him a scar. He made it through the sandstorm started running for the poke-center not far away, his eye and face bleeding just as much as the head of the pokemon's. Rushing in and handing the pokemon off to the nurse as they pulled him away and started treating his eye and face.

After they finished healing him and the pokemon Kira was waiting for them to bring him out. As they brought the mole pokemon out to let it go he walked up an squatted down next to it making it back up a bit as he reaches out and waits. The bandages on Kira's face matching the ones on the little drilburs head. After a few long moments the drilbur moves forward and touches his claws to Kira's fingers. Smiling Kira reaches back and pulls an empty pokeball out, explaining to the creature about the relationship they could have. He wasn't sure if the Drilbur understood him but after a few minutes it reached out again and poked the button on its own getting sucked into the ball to join Kira's team.

When Kira was 20 he felt it was time for him to try to have his pokemon journey, but unlike most of the others who had gone through it years and years before he was a little stuck on where to start and what to do. After a few weeks of thinking and finally almost giving up on where to start he saw a commercial on TV about a tournament where pokemon trainers were coming from all over to test themselves and their pokemon. Thinking that it was a good idea and paacking up a sparse pack he said bye to his parents and went to make his way to Goldenrod city to sign up.

'Twas Tanit, yes. As for having too much Dragon, I shall be replacing Sol with an Aron as soon as I come up with the moves and rewrite the story to suit the change.

What part of it exactly is weirding you out? And just to clarify, Feeby isn't a combat pokemon, she probably won't see much combat, if any, until she overcomes her fears because of her personality and history. So, I really only have 2 pokemon that are battle qualified.

Long-time lurker on these forums, and I decided to come out of hiding to pitch a character concept. I have never done a forum rp before but have been GMing tabletop rpgs for 8 years now. Let me know what you thing and if there is room for me to join.

Name: Nathan Black a.k.a. Andrew Roose (stolen identity Nathan is using)

Age: 18

Gender: Boy

City/Region: Castelia City, Unova

Nathan is entirely unremarkable in his appearance, standing at 6ft tall and weighing 170lbs. He has brown eyes and unkempt dirty blonde hair. His features are not attractive but also not unattractive. When placed in a crowd Nathan looks just like anyone else.

Nathan?s cloths are simple and worn with use, but if inspected closely one can spot needlework keeping them held together. He wears a pair of blue jeans and a white button-up long sleeve shirt, with the top button undone. He keeps a gray coat perpetually thrown over his left shoulder, and always wears a pair of sunglasses while outside, or clips them to his shirt while indoors.

Nathan answers to only one person and that person is Nathan. However that does not mean that he is confrontational. He will make his opinions know but does not fight to change the minds of others. Nathan is often described as cold and distant by those who have met him, but that exterior is a shield which he hides behind. Deep down Nathan is a prankster and feels emotions strongly. He has a good heart which has been tempered by the loss of his mother and adopted father, and which often conflicts with his selfish nature.

Nathan's Pokemon are his family, he would do anything for any one of them. He doesn't push his Pokemon as hard in battles as most other trainers do, for fear of them becoming injured. He is kind and gentle to wild and other trainer's Pokemon, which is contrary to his mistrust of people. Nathan is a sucker for gifts, discounts, or free things, is extremely frugal, and enjoys domestic chores.

Nathan's father left his mother, Celia Black, shortly before he was born, while his mother past away 5 years after his birth, leaving Nathan nothing but a locket containing her picture. Without any family to claim him Nathan was passed off to Castelia City?s foster care system. For the next 7 years Nathan bounced around from foster home to foster home never staying in one place long. It was during this time that Nathan found his best friend Clementine the Zorua. The nickname a reference to the piece of fruit she was being chased for stealing. Clementine had been living as a stray and was adopted by Nathan. Technically Nathan could not have a Pokemon as a foster child, but the two never let such a trivial rule stop them.

By the age of 12 Nathan had broken away from the foster system and was living in an abandon warehouse with Clementine, stealing what they needed to get by. The duo's life would soon change when Klefki and Axel Road entered their lives. It was during a rainy afternoon that Nathan chose his next mark, a middle aged man with a faint limp. Like they had done a hundred times Clementine distracted the target while Nathan moved in to pick their pockets. However this time instead of him snatching the mark's wallet and keys the keys grabbed Nathan.

As it would happen Klefki's owner was a police officer by the name of Axel Road. Axel had always wanted a child, but had never settled down and considered it a lost cause until that fateful day. Instead of arresting Nathan Axel volunteered to be his foster father. For the next three years Nathan's life could almost be considered normal. He attended school, learned the art of Pokemon battles, and for the first time in his life had found a father. It was during this time that Nathan decided he wanted to become a cop and help others the same way Axel had helped him. In school Nathan found a rival in a fellow student named Andrew Roose, a battling prodigy. The two pushed each other but Nathan never won a single battle against him. Tragically this happy state of affairs was not to last.

On Nathan?s 16th birthday Axel was killed in the line of duty. The city gave him a hero's funeral, but because Nathan was not yet an adult and because Axel had no other family he was moved to a new foster home. Nathan's performance in school plummeted and it wasn?t long before he was stealing again. As soon as Nathan turned 18 he applied for the police academy. He was rejected due to a poor entrance exam as well as multiple counts of misdemeanor theft from the past two years.

Devastated Nathan had no idea what to do. That is until he saw an advertisement for the upcoming Amateur World Tournament as well as its $1,000,000 prize. Nathan knew that his old friend and rival Andrew Roose had planned to enter the tournament, but he had become severely ill the week before. Nathan, with the help of his Pokemon, broke into Andrew's home and stole his Pokedex, boat ticket, and tournament entry papers.

Nathan added the final member of his team during the boat ride to Johto, a ducklett who they met in the harbor. The ducklett was given the nickname blue and she followed and played with Clementine and Klefki during the entire trip. Eventually Blue decided to come along on Nathan's journey when they arrived in Johto. Now Nathan is in Goldenrod City impersonating Andrew Roose and determined to win the World Tournament at any cost.

Name: Ethan Hirohito
Age: 12
Gender: Male
City/Region: Castelia City/Unova
Apperance: Ethan stands at about 4'6 a fairly average for his age and is all around pretty average looking for a twelve year old. He is obviously of Kantonese(Japanese) descent having most of the common facial features of one, he doesn't talk much about the time he spent there though. His hair is short cropped black hair, and is brushed towards his left side and usually only his bangs can be seen under his numerous hats he wears. When he does take one of his hats his hair is extremely messy.
He has four sets of clothes that he carries around with himself in a large hiking bag. His casual wear consisting of blue jeans, a plain white t-shirt, and a jacket modeled off of the fabled jacket of Red, It has multiple buttons pinned to it of random origin, and to top it all off he wears black cap with the silhouette of a pokeball in gold trimming in the front. He also carries around hot, and cold weather clothes. The hot weather clothes consist of a white robe, and a large white scarf usually worn in a turban style to cover up from the sunlight. The Cold weather clothes is actually several layers of clothes, thick boots, a big coat and a thick knit cap. In case of money emergencies he has a standard Magician's outfit with a very large top hat.
Personality: Ethan is a pretty happy-go-lucky kid most of the time despite the fact that he lives jobless, and homeless most of the time. Ethan while Naive, hot-tempered, and childish is still more mature than most twelve year olds, which is probably due to him having lived off of the land since he was ten when he set off on his Pokeventure. He's rather proud of this fact, and will throw this fact around in the face of others to prove that he's more than just some kid, mainly because He's going through that phase where he's not an adult, but wants to be seen as one. His view of the world is rather narrow minded morality seeing as joining or admiring Team Rocket or any of the other Team of terrorists as unquestionably and irrevocably evil no matter what the circumstances, this mostly comes from his deep admiration of his idol, and hero Red.
He sees his Pokemon like little brothers and sisters, constantly making telling them to get better manners, and has taken a very serious effort to try, and teach his Pokemon English... To mixed results, he does however at least let them learn enough that they can pick a name for themselves
Background: Ethan developed a hatred for non-psychic Pokemon at a very early age. He was born in Kanto, but only spent the very early years of his life there. He used to live in a tiny village at the top of a mountain, he had to evacuate that village when a colony of lavitars were found to be eating most of the mountain, on the way down he was walking down with his mother close to him when suddenly heard a rumbling from a cave sealed up by a cave-in long ago. The cave had an underground lake which recently been routed to the entrance of this cave, and one Gyrados had burst through the tunnel drowning many, Ethan would have died himself if he had not grabbed on to an abra floating by which teleported him away. There was several other unfortunate circumstances in which he met Pokemon early in his life, his house being burnt down by a Blaziken, souls getting eaten by haunts, mankeys stealing your lunch, etc. Him, and his father had sailed over from Kanto to Unova, and opened up a small Kantonese shop there with a small apartment. Due to his infatuation with the trainer Red like most kids his age he soon went off to travel the world not so long afterwards he moved there. his dad gave him a finely carved incense burner as a going-away present, the back read "To my only son. You've gone through a lot, but never give up."

Level: 27
Gender:Male
Ability: Synchronize
Type: Psychic
Moveset: Kinesis
Dark Eye
Psybeam
Confusion
Psychic(TM)
Fire Punch(Egg Move)
Harikian is the exact same Abra that saved Ethan from that fated day. He stayed with him because he felt like studying those silly humans, and might as well see what I can get out of saving this person. He's a quiet contemplative person that often just sits back, and watches most of the time. He is constantly messing with his spoons, or writing down some formulas, theories, beautiful masterpieces of art, and deep philosophical rantings into the dust never to be seen again. He's a very big fan of spoons and once wrote a book on how spoon's solve all the world's problems. His favorite cartoon is The Tick, it is also his favorite comic. He was quite disappointed by the Live action version of The Tick. Harikian is fluent in ninety languages including Navajo... Refuses to learn anything past fragemented sentences for English.
Sir Galahad the Gallade
Level: 23
Gender: Male(Obviously)
Ability: Steadfast
Type: Psychic/Fighting
Moveset: Close Combat
Leaf Blade
Night Slash
Confusion
Double Team
Slash
Galahad is quiet, dignified, and all around upstanding person... Except when he's showing off which is most of the time, and when he is being an upstanding person than he is likely showing off how great a person he is. He often helps with cooking with a display of amazing agility, cutting apart multiple vegetables, while carrying around a multiple items for cooking, cutting apart wood, and lighting the wood on fire. Speaks in a very calculated and refined voice while speaking English
Mark Punch The Gollet
Level: 21
Gender: NA
Ability: Iron Fist
Type: Ground/Ghost
Moveset: Shadow Punch
Mega Punch
Rollout
Iron Defense
Bulldoze(TM)
Astonish
Mark Punch is actually a very strange case. He actually used to be a thug that went around terrorizing random people in villages. according to him he got terribly tired of protecting people, and found that hitting people was more fun. The only reason that Ethan even took in the Pokemon was because after beating Mark in a fight to protect some innocent villages... And afterwards Mark swore a life debt to him... And wouldn't leave Ethan's side so he decided to try and reform Mark Punch. He did a fairly good job even if he occasionally steals stuff while no is looking.
... Also just noticed that someone else already used the name Ethan... Dammit!

Hahaha! This one rings a bell! Taking another shot at it, are we? What's the schedule on this? Still time to take a shot at a sheet? Keep in mind that if you reject me, I might have to file for Copyright Infringement ;D

EDIT:Aaaaaaaaaand Remy's back, y'all!!

Name: Remy Olivier
Age: 24
Gender: Male
City: Veilstone City/Sinnoh
Appearance: Roughly 6ft tall and with an average build, Remy is instantly recognizable thanks to his shaggy head of bright red hair. He has fair skin, typical to a denizen of the North and wears baggy, army green cargo pants, black boots, band t-shirts and a black leather jacket, a memento of his late father which he's customized with a red decal of a Zangoose's scars. His face always has a lazy look about it, always in a half dazed smile, while his reddish brown eyes are sometimes hidden behind black shades. His looks are quite infamous for attracting the ladies which, coupled with his cavalier attitude tends to get him in trouble.
Personality: A free spirited lover of life. Remy is the personification of "devil may care". Being from Sinnoh, Remy has a "country bumpkin" air to him. He loves everything life has to offer: Pokemon, music, women, taking naps under trees and more women. He's friendly to the point where people actually find him unbearable. Those who can suffer him for more than 30 minutes, however, would find in him a friend of unwavering loyalty.
Remy treats his Pokemon like brothers and throws himself wholeheartedly into battle with them, completely forgoing his lazy demeanor.
Biography: Raised by his grandmother in Sinnoh's Veilstone City after the death of his parents, Remy was taught to enjoy life and to help others enjoy it as well. When he was 10 he found a wounded Zangoose in an alley, a long way from it's natural habitat of Hoenn. After 2 hours of "heavy negotiation" a scratched up Remy brought what would be his most loyal companion home to get healed. By age 15 Remy's grandmother had died as well. With no one left to raise him Remy took to the streets doing whatever he could to get by: work in warehouses, Pokemon battles and even a bit of pickpocketing (made easier by the Sneasel he now owned after a trip to Snowpoint City). At age 24, Remy has long since left Sinnoh and is wandering around Johto. When he hears of the Amateur Tournament being held in Goldenrod, he immediately jumps at the opportunity.

"1.000.000P? Sweet Arceus on a motorcycle! Let's go make Remy rich boys!"

Pokemon:
Zangoose, Lvl 30 MALE
Ability: Immunity

-Slash
-Quick Attack
-Pursuit
-Crush Claw
-False Swipe
-Revenge

Zangoose is Remy's first Pokemon. Saving it from injury (somewhat against it's will) in Veilstone, the two have been thick as thieves ever since. There's no master/servant relationship between the two. Zangoose is as likely to scold and boss Remy around as he is. Zangoose has a careful nature and is generally a no nonsense Pokemon. As with all Zangoose, it has a deep seated hatred for Seviper.

Sneasel, Lvl 24 MALE
Ability: Keen Eye

-Feint Attack
-Ice Shard (Egg Move)
-Thief (TM46)
-Metal Claw
-Icy Wind
-Aglity

Sneasel is Remy's second Pokemon. Hatched from an abandoned egg near Snowpoint City, it has since become somewhat of a naughty natured foil to Zangoose's seriousness. It excels at stealing shiny things, so Remy usually keeps it out of its ball and on his shoulder. In battle, Sneasel is agile if a bit of a glass jaw. Being a Sneasel, it tends to put bird Pokemon on edge, because of its primary diet of bird eggs.

Mankey, Lvl 21 MALE
Ability: Vital Spirit

-Karate Chop
-Low Kick
-Seismic Toss
-Fury Swipes
-Focus Energy
-Brick Break (TM move)

Mankey was caught while Remy traveled around Kanto. A rash natured ball of untameable energy, Mankey is the furious enforcer of Remy's little band of thieves. Very undisciplined as Fighting-types go, it fights solely for the thrill of the fight. This prompts it to sometimes make stupid mistakes which, while possibly working his way, often hurt him too. After spending time on Remy's team however, he's begun to trust his Trainer's abilities. A trust that's difficult to earn from Fighting-types.

Christ almighty, I can't believe you managed to bring me back...

Name: Captain Herman Wash

Age: 59

Gender: Male

City/Region: Slateport, Hoenn

Appearance: In many respects Captain Wash looks like the prototypical sea captain. His face is a weather-beaten testament to his long career at sea. Tanned, coarsened and lined by sun, wind, and sea spittle, Wash's rough features are made harsher still by the perpetual frown his wide mouth is locked in. Said frown is not concealed by the white closely cropped full beard that Wash maintains. His hair, or rather what's left of it now that he's balding, is equally white, as are his eyebrows. Wash's stern brow and proud dark blue eyes give the old captain a somewhat dignified and noble presence.
A thick navy blue sweater, dark trousers, and an old stained black cap make up Wash's attire of choice. These hide a wiry build that's still hale and hearty, although Wash has grown a bit of a gut since his retirement. In his youth the captain stood a full 6ft. in height, but in recent years he has adopted a slight stoop in his gait.

Personality: The old captain is disagreeable at best, and most people have only known him at his worst. His noble brow sometimes lends itself to a good first impression, but Wash manages to ruin this without fail by opening his gob. He is nothing if not a surly vindictive old codger, and he makes sure that everyone knows this by way of a litany of colorful curses picked up over a lifetime at sea. "Guilty until proven innocent" is his modus operandi, and he will assume the worst of every person until they have proven themselves to him. That being said, once someone has gained his favor Wash is fiercely loyal to and protective of them. Oh, he might still scream and curse at them on occasion, but once you're set in your way in your old age it's hard to let go of old habits.

His pokemon are no strangers to his verbal abuse either, but there is no genuine irritation behind the curses he flings at them, and they know it. Wash reserves his scorn for those people who truly deserve it (which is just about everyone in his mind), but he cannot hold pokemon accountable for their actions. If a Carvanha bites you, it makes no sense getting angry at the pokemon; biting is simply in its nature. Even in those cases where a pokemon has done something deliberately wicked, the blame should always be aimed at its trainer. A pokemon is simply following its instincts, whether morally right or wrong. However, with this attitude comes a certain condescension towards all pokemon. If there is no reason to think ill of them, then there is little reason for being fond of them either. For Wash pokemon are more akin to domesticated beasts than true companions. His attitude towards the pocket monsters can be neatly summarized in an incident still spoken of in Slateport, in which Wash punched out a Wingull for trying to snatch away his lunch and then left his leftovers next to the fainted pokemon to enjoy when it recovered.

Biography: Wash is a man of the sea and always has been. When his peers were leaving home for their pokemon journeys little Herman joined a fishing vessel, sans any pokemon. Over the years he climbed the seafaring job ladder, eventually becoming the captain of a fishing boat and later a large trading vessel. He was even considered for the position of captain on the S.S. Tidal, before someone interjected that a cruise liner might need more of a "people person" in charge. During his illustrious career Wash has sailed every ocean, seen every harbor, and found something to complain about everywhere. In all this time, however, he never caught a single 'mon. What with his indifferent attitude towards the critters, he simply never held any interest for them.
Wash caught his first pokemon during a voyage to the Johto Safari Zone. The cargo consisted exclusively of exotic wild pokemon for trainers to try their hand at catching, an incredibly silly pastime according to ship captain Wash. It was on this voyage that Wash ran into what is still the worst storm he has ever experienced. Things got so bad that some of the pokemon got loose, forcing most of the crew members and handlers to round them up while the captain saw the ship through the storm. Everything went smoother than expected with the exception of one group of pokemons: the Rhyhorns. A herd of wild Rhyhorns on board a ship was bad enough, but one of the beasts found its way to the deck. There, confronted with wild waters and torrential rain, it panicked. This was an environment completely alien to it, and it was the bearded man yelling obscenities that stepped out onto the deck after it that pushed the Rhyhorn over the edge; literally. The Rhyhorn fell over board, leaving a stunned captain. Wash, in a moment of desperation and guilt, grabbed one of the accompanying Safari Balls and hoping that it might somehow save the beast's life threw it into the waves. The accompanying red flash confirmed that the ball found its target, and then it disappeared into the black ocean.

When the ship finally arrived at the Safari Zone the warden Baoba noted that there was a missing Rhyhorn, and demanded an explanation. Upon summarizing the event, Wash was surprised that the warden wasn't mad. That's when Baoba pulled out a Safari Ball that he claimed had washed up just two days prior.
And that's how Wash inadvertently became a trainer. The Safari Ball that had washed up was indeed the very same that he had thrown into the ocean in a desperate bid to save, what was now his, Rhyhorn. The captain cannot fathom what ocean currents led to this reunion, but the Rhyhorn seemed immediately familiar with him, so he has no doubt that it is the same one. Not one to make a middling job out of anything, Wash decided that he should at least become a competent trainer now that he found himself with one critter. Over the next few years he went on to catch a Shellder by rod, and one winter when he slipped halfway across a very icy ship deck all the while cursing up a storm a Spheal found the sight so hilarious that it refused to leave him. The final member of the team was found off-duty, when Wash cut up a fish he caught that was to be his dinner, and found a Horsea that had been swallowed whole inside.

Alas, though he still likes to call himself captain, Wash is now retired. He was in fact forced into an early retirement. The temper and cursing that were taken for eccentricities in his youth, were in his old age instead taken for signs that he was going senile. Truth be told, there were also those that simply wanted the old antisocial mariner gone. Wash's conduct had not earned him any friends over the years. It was at this time, alone, in his neglected home in Slateport, full of indignation at being forced off the sea that he heard about the Amatuer World Tournament. If he's going to be forced to live on the land for the rest of his days, then he's going to conquer the land just as he considers himself to have conquered the oceans. He'll show them. He'll show them all!

- Max Revive x 1

$1400

Pokemon:

Rhyhorn: Lvl 28, male
Ability: Lightningrod
- Rock Blast
- Bulldoze (TM)
- Scary Face
- Stomp
- Horn Attack
- Thunder Fang [egg]

The stoic Rhyhorn can come of as quite cool and collected - but the truth is that he's really pretty dumb, and prefers waiting for orders over acting on his own. Has an astoundingly poor sense of direction.

Spheal: Lvl 21, male
Ability: Thick Fat
- Aqua Ring
- Body Slam
- Ice Ball
- Water Gun
- Surf [HM]
- Defense Curl

Nothing can bring down this little ball of joy. Spheal is just as cheerful as his trainer is dour, and he finds Wash adorable. Also surprisingly intelligent.

Shellder: Lvl 21, female
Ability: Skill Link
- Leer
- Protect
- Icicle Spear
- Withdraw
- Supersonic
- Rock Blast [egg]

Shellder is Spheal's eternal rival and ultimate nemesis. At least, this is the case in her own mind. Poor Shellder feel threatened by her fellow Ice/Water team member, and considers the team too small for two of their kind. Spheal is utterly oblivious to Shellder's feelings, and just wants to be friends.

Horsea: Lvl 5, female
Ability: Swift Swim
-
-
- Water Gun
- Smokescreen
- Clear Smog [egg]
- Rain Dance [TM]

Horsea considers Wash her savior and loves him to itty-bitty bits. Very eager to reach her fellow team members' level.
Haven't brought a character back for one of these RPs yet, but I think there's some value to wring out of Wash still.
