Pokemon the Anime

So question to Pokemon fans of the escapist. Recently, I stupidly got back into watching the anime. I watched one of the most recent story arc's with N from the Black & White games as well as a couple different movies (Lucario and the Mystery of Mew was surprisingly well done). I'm interesting in going back and watching more from various seasons. But, clearly, I don't have time or interest to watching all the filler and episodes where fuck-all happens. Anyone have recommendations on the "must watch" episodes from various seasons from the first all the way to what's new? Thanks for the help.

This Summer I went through all of the Unova seasons of the show. The N arc was really good, granted I wish anime N was a bit more like in-game N. He felt too accommodating, it was almost like he had already battled and lost to the protagonist of the Black and White game. Still a great little arc, plus it featured Reshiram a bunch, and everyone knows I love me some Reshiram.

The Unova league episodes were pretty engaging, I would say any Unova competition centered episodes are a fun watch. Gym battle episodes, even if Ash's battle strategies will make you want to yell at the screen are interesting episodes.

I liked the Victini and Reshiram/Zekrom movie, of course probably more for my aforementioned love of Reshiram more than anything, plus Victini was pretty cute too.

The early Unova episodes where Ash meets his Oshawott, Tepig, and Snivy were pretty fun, considering how delightfully cute and silly Oshawott can be.

I tried watching other seasons, but the Diamond/Pearl anime felt so formulaic and slow to me(Unova one is kinda formulaic too), but I enjoyed it after not having watched the anime since like the second or third season when I was little.
