Escapist, I have a request. It's about medium-sized, but hopefully not too big. You see, I've been playing a lot of Pokemon Black 2 recently (beat the Elite 4 & Champion yesterday, first time I've ever done that in a Pokemon game!!), and I'm diligently working on getting all the Pokemon I want.

Here's where you guys come in: there's a significant number of Pokemon I can't get (or can't get without some difficulty) unless I trade for them. I'm not entirely comfortable asking random strangers, but I'm desperate at this point. Every single person I've asked so far either hasn't been able to trade with me, or has simply ceased contact altogether. I have yet to find a reliable source for trading. I'm hoping one or more of you could be the ones to finally help.

I'll post my list in a spoiler, but there's just one condition to this: I want as many of these Pokemon as possible as eggs, so I can raise them myself (this obviously excludes legendaries, who can't be bred). I know it takes more time/effort, but I really just want to raise them on my own, from level one (I've already done that with a few Pokemon I got from a friend, and boy is it satisfying, even if exp. share makes the process trivial).

If you agree to help, I'll pm you my 3DS friend code, or whatever extra info you may need (like other places you can contact me). I don't care at all about metagame, so don't worry about stats, and I have a ditto if it's needed for breeding.

PLEASE don't offer to help if you don't plan on following through, and if the process is going to take a while I ask that you keep in contact so I know you haven't bailed on me.

Looking for them in eggs really isnt a problem for breeders like myself anyways. I was a breeder on gamefaq, and most proper breeders can breed just about anything(though I'm now retired). The issue is that you sound like you are just asking for stuff instead of trading so everybody wins, so maybe thats why people havent responded like you hoped ^^,

Maybe?? No one so far has mentioned that being an issue, or said "I want this pokemon in return." I mean, at least two of the people who have offered to trade with me and not followed up are friends of mine, who I know wouldn't have a problem taking the pokemon I don't want in exchange for the ones I do--hell, that's how I got my Charmander, Totodile, Cyndaquil and Rufflet.

If that's the case it would be a serious dick move for them not to tell me. I don't really have much to offer right now, but that doesn't mean I couldn't at least try and catch what the other person wants--I mean, I don't use any of the legendaries I've caught so I'd be more than willing to give them up for an equivalent pokemon. I never specifically said I wanted them for nothing, anyway.

You never said what you had to trade, but esp if you ask for legendaries, its wise to say what you have in return. Most breeders will just look for what you have to see if you are worth trading with, and most regular players would be looking to see if you have what they have in return.

For non breeders, the GenI-GenV starter pokemon are always brilliant to use as trade bait, as well as ralts, and the drakes. if you mention you can trade with these then you might have more success trying :)

It's not so much as 'dick move', as it's mre just pokémon trading etiquette to say what you can offer in return, even if you say 'I don't have much in return' usually does the trick (used to work with me, though I used to do lots of giveaways and things, so I guess I wasn't as uptight as other traders :3)

I would say try the B&W2 traders section on gamefaq, I'm not about on it anymore, but there is usually plenty of people there who can help, from what I see, you aren't asking for many rares/high value pokémon.

I might try that. Still not entirely confident in trading with complete strangers, though.

Well, as I've never done this sort of thing before (and I'd imagine that fact is fairly obvious), it would have been a nice thing for someone to have told me before just... vanishing without a word. That's what I mean by dick move, is stopping all communication without even telling me they're no longer interested.

As far as Black 2 legendaries go I have Cobalion, Virizion, Terrakion, and Cresselia, but I know I have access to the area(s) where you get Regirock, Regice and Registeel (and by extension Regigigas). I can't imagine it would take me too long to get the rest (though, I did plan on keeping Heatran since I'm trying to collect all the fire types I can). As far as the rest of the pokemon I have for trade, it's not much. Mostly common ones... I can't remember all of them (my box 8 is getting close to being full of the pokemon I'm keeping for trade) but I know there's a ditto in there, at least.

Just so you know, the 8 box extends when you have more pokemon, I have 32 filled boxes last I checked I think.
Theres no problem with trading with strangers, saying as you cant get ripped off (just don't ask for eggs then, newly hatched instead). Breeders tend not to trade eggs as they normally use the MM to get shinies and trading eggs nullifies the enhanced shiny chance.
your legendaries are quite 'regular' in the sense that most people may already have them, though still worth mentioning to people. Often first time traders may trade like 3 starters for a legendary or a shiny or something.

The more I hear about this the less I want to deal with these people. I guess I ought to just keep pestering friends about this...

Thanks for the info, though, at least now I know it would be less of a hassle to harass people I actually know for pokemon than have to worry about having the right pokemon to get what I want.

Anyway, I need to head to bed. I'll check in on this thread in a few hours, but I don't know that I'll try reviving it at all if there aren't any new responses.

I can spare an Eevee, Solosis, Lugia, Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres and Ho-oh. I need to know what you can offer in return. I'd really like the gen 3 starters, Smeargle, Shroomish, Seedot, Celebi or Jirachi would be really nice if you have them.

I could probably get you most of those with little problem. However I highly recommend you go to PokemonGTS.com, it's a site where you can go to trade or request any Pokemon you want. Without that site I wouldn't have been able to complete the entire Pokedex in Black version. Again, I can get you pretty much anything on your list, just update the list when you receive some of the ones you are requesting.

I would not have been able to get the likes of Celebi or Jirachi without the site I mentioned, so if you want those I would recommend going there. I do have the gen three starters, smeargle, shroomish, and seedot if you're interested.
