It doesn't need it. It's a sequel. There have been countless games that have done this.Sir Pootis said:Oh, you guys are finally making it 3D, but where's the gameplay innovation?
The grass type reminds me of a wood chuck.Judgment90 said:I'm not complaining about the game or anything, but the starters look unoriginal. Considering that the Water Frog and Fire Fox lines have been done before. Also, I will be giving up the series if the Fire Starter is ANOTHER Fighting type. One last thing, does anyone have any idea on what the Grass starter is supposed to resemble? Kind of looks like a beaver or some sort of rodent.
Also, I've been wanting a 3D game for a while, because 2D Pokemon games have always felt a bit... static due to their battles. With it going 3D, at least each Pokemon can actually be seen hitting each other like in the show instead of having portraits hit each other.
The X and Y play up the 3D aspect of the game. It's the first 3D Pokemon game, so the versions are called X, Y and Z. The dimensions of 3D.Scarim Coral said:First thing first, so they had all gone Math equation on us eh (X and Y)? I guess they had took some notes from Adventure Time (mathematical).
So you had pretty much sums up what the possible third game will be called aswell.Eclipse Dragon said:The X and Y play up the 3D aspect of the game. Would make sense for it to be a woodchuck.Terminate421 said:The grass type reminds me of a wood chuck.
I feel like the final evolution for the fire type will be an Anthromorphic (Renamon-looking) Fire/Psychic for some reason. It has that sort of feel to it. (By the way, the fox line may have been done before but this is a kitsune (However you spell it), We are lacking in that department)
This is the first time I won't like a water type starter. A frog is one thing but it's like they hardly tried with him and just put all of their effort into the grass or fire starters.
Z seems to be the choice that makes most sense. People were thinking the third in Black/ White gen would be Gray, but I think the letter Z is more marketable than the color gray. Pokemon Z sounds cooler than Pokemon Gray. Which might be why last gen we got Black 2 and White 2, rather than gray. If Nintendo continues the number 2 trend and we see two more versions (sequels) rather than a third version, maybe they'd be called XZ and YZ.Scarim Coral said:So you had pretty much sums up what the possible third game will be called aswell.Eclipse Dragon said:The X and Y play up the 3D aspect of the game.
