Who else on the escapist forums plays poker? Either online or live. I play quite a bit, mostly online but I play a fair bit in casinos too.

I play the occasional hand. I like watching the World Series of Poker when I can too.

Chris Ferguson is my hero.

Ive played it once or twice with my brother
He plays online constantly.
He would probably play live more if he had friends

Have a poker night with friends every couple of months - normally fairly casual, just throw in £5 or so each for about 3000 chips, blinds starting at 25/50.

I've played online a bit a couple of years ago - I broke even after a few months (started with a tenner, only playing on the penny tables) and then lost it all on blackjack haha. I've been too a poker tournament at a casino (I think it was a £10 buy in, about 200 people) which was ok, except that you could rebuy for the first two hours. This wouldn't of been a problem if everyone else wasn't a thirty-something business man who could happily sink about £200 in the first round :(:(

I love poker, I play it with my granddad when he's around. We bet matches and or chocolate.
I'm also pretty good at online poker, its fun cleaning everyone out in one hand.

Me and my friends do the same thing. $5 buy in and play a little 9 person SNG. We've been doing this nearly every week for the past year.

I play it for fun with some friends from time to time.
I'm one of those people who never bluffs.
Then in the rare occasion that I do, I win a lot of chips, because everyone knows I never bluff.

I play, not online... i think online poker is lame since you are missing half the challenge... yo basically have to play your hand only and just work out the numbers in your head... then again im a hustler and i play like an idiot but i never lost money... usually make 100+ when i go out.

Something about getting excited about every hand makes you hard to read ^^

Me and my mates have a get together now and then to play a game.

Buy in's around £5, and winner takes it all.

It's more for the social part, rather than earning money.

I use to play poker casually with a few of my friends. Oh the arguements and acclaimed cheating was fun! We didn't use real money or chips so we did it all mentally and it was fun catching out the mistakes.

I've played chocolate poker

Exactly the same as normal poker except with chocolate instead of money.

I've been playing live poker pretty much on at least a monthly basis for about 5 years. I have played online poker, a lot less than live though. I don't like online poker even a quarter as much as I like it live. It's just frustrating and I can't approach it the way I'd want to. I've also watched hours and hours and hours of poker shows.

I used to love it, however my friends were never that interested, so when I stopped forcing them to play, we all stopped =(

I play online every so often. Have only played live around 4 times, and it's something I'd love to do more often but the shifts I work mean it's difficult to go down the Casino on the nights where I can afford to play. £30 rebuys on a Saturday? ha.
