If you don't mind the electic bill you could just keep it in the tumble dryer all day.

Shock dampeners were invented for a reason. :)

I walk daily 20 km, maybe even more, as a part of my job, so I'll just take it to work. Can't wait for the game to come out in Europe. And a few more days to reach Croatia.

Errm.... I think you got that a bit wrong.

Why bother washing it? You can just keep drying and not have to worry about your socks being completely soaked or your Pokewalker being drowned.

I'd suggest a Portal gun. Shoot one Portal in the floor and one directly above it, ensure that the Pokewalker is spinning as it falls and let it go.
Whoops, silly me haha.

Also, how would you catch it? Removing one of the portals will cause it to smash into the floor and shatter.

I'm not going to get these games... (not really into pokemon), but I was thinking that you could probably tape it to a metronome, and then set it to a reasonable pace. That should fake the movement needed quite nicely.

This is theoretical, of course, the metronome might get thrown off-balance or something.

I don't think I want to try to catch a little plastic object going at terminal velocity. I'd rather retain usage of my hands, so I can actually play the game.

Not that I'll get it, mind you. Nostalgia ain't that strong. But I would take that thing to work with me. I pretty much walk non-stop for about 5 hours every day. That should add some steps. Taking it with me to the gym would help as well.

I don't have it yet (Damn you, US Postal Service) But when I do I'm probably just going to leave it on my person wherever I go.

And if I get bored, I'll attach it to my cat and have it chase a laser around. That's gotta be worth at least a mile or 2.

it makes me sad that it doesn't allow one to actually shake it vigorously to make it rapidly gain steps.

My roommate got the game and I suggested an especially violent washing machine.
If you slowly shake your hand it will generate steps. I sometimes do it while driving or idle at work.

A washing machine would probably destroy it.
I never said put it inside it. I din't think you'd think I was that stupid.

According to Bulbapedia, assuming you don't spend any watts and walk 10,000 steps a day it takes 200 days to unlock all the non-event routes. HARSH.
i already have all but 1 of the non world pokedex areas now, and it hasent been a week.
To get all of the ones after the National Dex takes a long time.

All but 1 means you're at Blue Lake which is unlocked at 2000 Watts. To get Quiet cave (Last one period) your looking at 100000 Watts. Which using that statement to get a rough average, would take you around 200 days :p

I've used Action Replay in the past, myself, along with Pokesav.

The Pokewalker is nice because it gives me something to check at work, if nothing else.
Plus a great way to level "useless" pokemon such as magikarp and that insect one I never use Kricketune I think its called.

Anyway I work 9 hour shifts on the checkouts and pushing trolleys at my local woolworths and tend to move around a lot to keep my feet getting too sore so I intend on getting hg and ss and stick one pokewalker to each sock with the clip will be curious to see the results though I suspect the trolleys will yield a higher take.
So far only have HG but now th local shop has at least 1 copy of ss on order so hoping to grab that then

I tried the ceiling fan but it ended up flying off not long after I left the house and it took me an hour to try to find where the damn thing flew off to. I was also going to try the cat but that thing is too damn lazy to get any kind of results from. I guess I'll ACTUALLY have to walk, gawd!

Also, you can't get to level 100 by using any of the above methods. Each step will count as 1 point of experience, but when your pokemon levels up once it quits gaining experience. You have to transfer it back to your game then transfer it back to you pokewalker for it to start growing another level. So even if you manage to secure it to a ceiling fan for 3 straight days, when you transfer you pokemon back you'll have only gained one level. You'll have a shitload of watts though!!

I have a 2 mile walk to college and back every day, that seems to do the trick ;3
