Here's the link, I didn't find this on the site... [http://www.zdnet.co.uk/news/intellectual-property/2012/02/03/actas-eu-future-in-doubt-after-polish-pause-40094978/]
Apparently the Prime Minister, Daniel Tusk, has suspended the ratification of ACTA in his native country of Poland. As part of the EU, if Poland balks or refuses to ratify it, then it fails in the whole Union. If that happens, it's very unlikely that ACTA will pass.
Despite the overwhelming outcry amongst Polish citizens, this about-face of Daniel Tusk is a bit surprising, since he was fairly ardent in his support a few days ago.
This is great news, but not a slam-dunk yet. Poland still hasn't rejected the bill, they've simply suspended its ratification. If there are any Polish Escapist readers, this would be a swell time to voice your concerns.
It's still disheartening how many countries did support ACTA, including the US, who just recently endured a massive backlash over their consideration of two similar bills.
