Eh, they already made it, they'll probably release it sometime later when Trump has lost interest in attacking videogames and movies and is calling for the murder of brown people and/or Democrats again.

IIRC, some rubbish action movie about terrorists knocking down high-rises (can remember which one) got into some hot water cause 9/11 came out just before it was scheduled to be released, they just delayed it a bit.
I believe that movie was Collateral Damage.

Its funny how at the time, just because it had it's release delayed because of the attacks, everyone just went ahead and assumed it was a shit film. Looks like that is happening all over again with the Hunt.
When 99% of movies made these days are shit films, it is easy to assume this is another one. Pretty much confirmed when reading the story line and viewing what little we have seen about it.
Well if you're of the opinion that 99% of films are shit, then I guess it's a foregone conclusion you'll think the next movie to arrive will also be shit anyway.
Not necessarily, good movies do exist, there are just so few of them however, if you read the story and think the story is shit, chances are the movie will be shit too.

You mean North American society. Everyone else has so far done a much, much better job of it.

What's also interesting is that the right wing people were the ones crying for it to be banned, and yet the movie seems to be in their favour, the heroes are called 'deplorables' and supposedly the original name of the movie was red state vs blue state.

Hasn't this film already been made with Jean-Claude Van Damme or someone like that? Oh yeah, Hard Target.
Also Ice-T, "Surviving the Game". Most Dangerous Game is a pretty frequently mined source.

"Meant to poke at both sides equally."

Ah, that's why the right wouldn't have liked it, they would've had to share criticism.

Kind of similar to the situation with Team America. Both Republicans and Democrats hated the film.

And once again, a movie studio sucks the dick of a complete *****.

Speaking of which, Hard Target 2 with Scott Adkins is actually decent. It can't hold a candle to the John Woo original, but it's better than a lot of the straight to DVD/VHS movies that were unnecessary or unrelated sequels to the original.

So it was a film for right-wingers, got it.

The 'both sides' argument always ends up favoring right-wingers. Seriously, no way they could think this would not be divisive. They might as well be surprised the forest they set on fire burned down.

All I can say is, it's a good thing we achieved world peace, or else the enduring appeal and release of war movies would seem really incongruous. Oh, wait...
