After 2012 people will invent another day that the world will 'end' and we'll continue to become scared little rabbits. Personally I think that some human-caused issues are going to be a major problem in the future but the future is still going to happen.
Actually the slated date for when dragons get tired of humans and destroy them is I believe July 3rd in 2188 at 3pm Eastern.

Sorry for double post, but I am looking forward to 2012 anyways, regardless the level of stupidity involved. The funny thing is people tend to do very dumb things over things they can't understand or they refuse to understand. Take the Large Hadron Collider, people committed suicide before they turned it on in fear of it ending the world. Read that last sentence again if your brain just malfunctioned from the sheer level of stupidity involved in that action.

Usually when the world ends, majority of people die, so killing yourself is pointless. The reason I say this is because a month or so before the "end of the world" chances are plenty of people are going to become an heroes. I just think that's sorta hilarious, cruel but funny.

Yup. The real funny part is that the Mayan writings only say it's the end of an era, or at least that's the closest translation possible from what I'm told.

Yeah, its just the end of one of their cycles, which has happened a load of times since they started. We should have been apocalypsed to the Sun and back by now XD
