You know how in 3D games in some games the d-pad (or the analog stick) UP is deeper in the screen and in other games UP in front of the charcter. I personaly rather the 3D type, control the character as a tank as a 2D type enthusiast once told me.
I prefer the 3D type because i find two problems with the 2D, you can't walk backwards, unless you use a button to lock the weapon, and whenever you change screens in fixed camera games if you rapidly move the d-pad you many time end up going back to the previous screen. Also, with the 2D type if you press in circles the d-pad the character will spin around like crazy.
So wich one do you prefer, 2D or 3D, and why?
2D:
UP is deeper in the screen
DOWN is closer to the camera
LEFT is left of the screen
RIGHT is right of the screen
3D:
UP is front of the character
DOWN is walk backwards
LEFT is turn left of the character
RIGHT is turn right of the character
