Poll: 3 A.M. Escapists

Maybe I am being paranoid... Just maybe.

OT: Yeah, I'm often on the escapist after midnight. It's one of the ways I tire myself out.

As I type this message, it's just past 1:30 AM where I live. I've been a real night-owl since High School, and I pretty much can't hold down a sleep schedule unless I have to be up at a specific time each morning.

I once had a job where I had to be up by 4:00 AM to be at work on time, and I was pretty much in bed before 8:00 PM every single night, no problem. But if I have the flexibility I don't really have any reason to keep a regular sleep schedule.

Anyway I was just wondering how many of my fellow Escapists are visiting the site past 12:00 PM, your local time.

I have a sleep disorder and yes, I am frequently on The Escapist at night.

My circadian rhythms basically tell me to go to bed around 6AM, wake up around 2PM, and take naps. Whenever and wherever.

I sometimes wonder if I have a similar issue. I've never been diagnosed with anything, and I suppose in my case it's more due to lifestyle factors (diet, exercise, sleep hygiene, etc). But yeah, sometimes I'll just have the uncontrollable urge to sleep in weird places; mostly when I have to listen to someone else's conversation or a really dull lecture.

I suffer from Insomnia, so I usually have to find a way to keep myself entertained late at night. The Escapist is basically all I do for some nights.

I had a sleep study done a while back; I'm actually one of those odd narcoleptic people (medicated, but there's only so much Provigil can do) who passes out at inconvenient times and sleeps at even more inconvenient times.

Then at other times I'm wide awake from the meds when I shouldn't be. It's an... interesting... condition to live life with.

Last night I was up until around 6 playing Killing Floor with someone but usually, I'm here all night and I personally like it that way best :3

I'm a night owl by choice, a lot of the time because I'm gigging or open micing or something, so I'll be out til gone midnight, then have to get home and eat, and then finally I'll be going to sleep, so it just makes more sense to be up late. Since I'm at university i have the opportunity to do this as well. However, when I have a job I conform pretty easily to a regular early night schedule, so when I leave uni I'll probably stop posting so late.

My day usually runs: Asleep at 4am, awake at 12 noon, awake until 4 am repeat.

Eh...I'm more of a 2 AM Escapist...I don't stay up THAT late. But yeah, usually almost every weekday I'm on here after 12:00 CST. Don't attend school at the moment (homebound), so there's really no reason for me not to stay up.

Often. Mostly because I've done things I need to do in the day, then I speak to people for a while, then once they're gone, I'm on here until I decide to retire. I've also not been well lately, so that's prevented me from sleeping. Woe.

If I'm on vacation though? 7:00 AM. The scary part is I easily make this transition in about four days.
