Capcom said that IT'S ON THE DISC!
Same with the SF4 costumes, and their 80 dollar collectors edition that hardly had anything the 4 dollar (PER CHARACTER) costume packs do.
Then there is the Megaman 9 DIFFICULTY LEVELS - what the fuck? Difficulty levels as DLC? How about the ability to save and use analog sticks for sale too?
Seriously, boycott capcom DLC.
Actually, boycotting the DLC doesn't really make enough of a statement. If you buy a $50 (however much it is) copy of RE5 and boycott the $5 DLC, do you honestly think Capcom cares? They just sold you something for at least ten times that price!
If you want to make a statement against Capcom's treatment of the consumer, boycott Capcom products entirely.
Really? What difference would it make? If nobody is buying the DLC then wouldn't they stop doing it? The games are in demand and the DLC isn't.

geez ou people are acting like their putting a gun to your head forcing you to buy it
They may as well be, the shit is on the disc.
It doesn't matter if nobody is buying the DLC, but ARE buying the game. It's not enough of a loss of profits for Capcom to really give a rip.
Besides, you just know lots of other people ARE shelling out for the DLC, so your refusal to part with $5 doesn't affect Capcom at all. If, on the other hand, you got a group of several thousand people to boycott Capcom products ENTIRELY (and explain that charging extra money for something that's already on the disc is why), that could make more of an impact on Capcom's bottom line.
If anything, the lack of interest in the DLC would just tell Capcom that people don't really want online co-op/versus/whatever it is. Maybe they'd just leave that feature off of their next game entirely. After all, they are boneheads.
What I'm saying is that Capcom doesn't care about the consumer as long as they're still making money. Influence that, and they might listen to you. But $5 just doesn't make enough of an impact. Like you said, the feature is already on the disc. So a few thousand people don't want to pay Capcom to play it? Big whoop. It's only 5 bucks. What do they care about a few thousand dollars?
I'm just trying to help you out.
