I require assistance fellow escapists

I just beat Killzone 2 (in 2 days) and now I'm at a crossroads. I have a bunch of games to play, but I know not which to play

My choices are, as follows:
Baldur's gate 1&2 (PC)
Stalker (PC)
Gothic 3 (PC. I'm apprehensive to play because it sucked the first time through. Have they patched/modded it?)
Batman Arkham Asylum (PS3)
Drakes Fortune (PS3)
Shadow of Colossus (PS 2)
Legend of Dragoon (PSX)
Half Life 2 (EP 1&2) (360)
Mass Effect (PC)
GTA 4 (360)
The Conduit (Wii)
Metroid Prime Trilogy (Wii)

But really, I would go with either Stalker for the great experience it is and its story, or Arkham Asylum as it is new, and awesome.

I was going to vote Arkham Asylum or Shadow of the Colossus, but your poll only lets me choose between Baldur's Gate and Stalker. x3 I've played SotC, it's fantastic. And I've only heard good things about Arkham Asylum, even though I haven't played it.

Shadow of the colossus. If you want, you can get it over with in a day. No extras besides evil fruit, so theres no reason to play it again. Unless you want a parachute.

Batman Arkham Asylum looks absoultely amazing from the videos I've watched, I'd play that.

Argh, you expect me to choose between Mass Effect and Shadow of the Colossus? Play both of those! Then get Beyond Good and Evil. That game just has to be played by more people: it deserves way more love than it's gotten.

Go for Batman, just so you are on track with what's the hottest game on the street these days. 2009 isn't going to be such an important year in gaming, so you can play the rest in between the few big games that are coming up, such as Uncharted 2, Assassin's Creed 2 and Modern Warfare 2.

Have you played the Metroid games first time round?

If not, DO IT NOW! They're the most unique take on an FPS/adventure you are ever likely to play, the first game is also one of the most atmospheric ever, addictive too. Not to mention they'll keep you busy for a good 200hours if you want a 100% on each.

SotC is a classic, even if you don't want the longest experience, it's a sweet one indeed.

Mass Effect is awesome too, and can be pretty dang long if you want it to be.

The Baldur's Gate series. They're absolute classics and can't be matched for stories, characterisation, dialogue and setting.
