i'm sure it seems that way but the reality of the situation is that these kids are there because they pose a physical danger to people and themselves. the restraint method is not done in anger or even in an excessicely threatening way. they just firmly and calmly restrain them until their episode passes.Larenxis post=18.68953.645928 said:

Its all really bullsh*t, ADD and ADHD are just made up things so that doctors can sell their drugs to kids that are just eating too much sugar and are bored at school. (I just described my own case, was never on meds though)
they are both fake diseases that parents forced doctors to invent cause they can't control their crotchfruit by being real parents
I think that simply writing off ADD as a made up disorder of the 1990 (even though it entered the DSM in the 1960's and had been recognized in psychiatric literature decades before that) is as ignorant and as bad as saying "Everyone has it!" So it appears to be very common. So what? So are allergies and asthma, but that doesn't mean they are made up, or a plot by the drug companies to sell us stuff we don't need. Just because you can't see my brain "sneezing and wheezing" doesn't mean it's not happening. Yes, I have been diagnosed with ADD - as an adult two decades removed from school, and I'm pretty sure at this point parental discipline isn't a factor. As for the diet and exercize "cure", I was a professional cook, studied natural medicine, and walked 4 miles a day every day and still had it. No, it's not cosmetic psychopharmacology, any more than taking daily allergy or asthma medicine is cosmetic immunology. It's just the thing that finally allowed me to stop beating my head against an invisible wall for 30+ years.

No, We have things against kids that supposedly have A.D.D. And well the kids are just assholes who the parent don't beat enough. My dad scared the shit out of me and guess what? Also people need to realize that the medical profession now declairs ADD and ADHD as a normal part of our evolution now. It is no longer a disorder or anything to be afraid of.

I was joking with my mom about the evolutionary uses of ADHD. If we were hunter-gatherers living in the rain forest or out in the grasslands, people who tend to stay awake at night and are really sensitive to movement and noises are the perfect ones to put on watch.
In real life, knowing what's going on and getting treatment has helped me harness a huge amount of energy which was totally undirected before. It's kind of amazing how much I have to use now that I'm not fighting to control it.
ADD being wrongly diagnosed by people who are not qualified to do so doesn't mean the disorder doesn't exist. And yes, I think the "troublemaker" stereotype of ADD leads to a lot of mis-diagnosis and missed diagnosis. But this does not mean it doesn't exist.Bulletinmybrain post=18.68953.646511 said:
