Would the pig feel pain? The pig want's to be eaten but was modified to behave like that. It's like a person who was hypnotized to want to be shot in the face, you can shoot and make that person happy, but that doesn't remove the fact that you just shot someone in the face.

The chicken, although modified like the pig, it's just a pile of meat, it doesn't feel no pain since it has no brain. Eating it would be less cruel than eating the chicken we usually eat.

Im going to have to say the chicken. Honestly, even if it wasn't GM I would still eat it. I do so enjoy a good schnitzel! And im not a big fan of any of the pig meats, anyway.

I'd go with the chicken. The pig being sentient and actually talking to you would put me off eating it, regardless of how it feels about being eaten.

So, imagine this as a situation. You walk into your favourite restaurant, sit down at the table and look at the menu. After looking at it for a while, the waiter comes over and tells you about the specials. One of them is a pig, genetically modified to want to be eaten. She is even trotted out in front of you, while she tells you her best cuts, her recommendations for how she should be eaten and her lifelong desire to be eaten. The other option on the specials is a genetically modified chicken, who was born to be brain dead. It feels no pain, has no emotion or feelings and only knows how to eat, sleep and drink. So, which choice would you pick?

PS: If anyone can name the book this is from, a virtual biscuit will be yours. And I might put up other dilemmas but let's see.

While I do love pock (Chinese pock to be exact) over chicken but I going with the chicken. Sorry but I would turn down the pig offering her willingess to be eaten. To me it doesn't feel right that the pig long life dream is to simple end her life by being eaten which kind of sound like suicide. I mean there is so much to life than death so soon.
