I have been playing WoW for a while now got a 80 and have him geared enough to do anything i want to so the appeal for the game is almost gone. After this months paycard is up i want to start another MMO. ive been thinking of playing Warhammer but does anyone else have anyother suggestions?

The Old Republic comes out next year. If you don't want to wait for that, though, I'd get Champions Online or Aion.

You forgot Champions Online.

But I would suggest WAR if you're looking for good PvP. I stopped playing but that was due to financial issues. If they still have a decent playerbase it's completely worth looking in to.

Guild Wars is a good one because you don't have to pay for it, so if it gets boring you won't feel bad about leaving it. That said if you get it and find it's boring you've just wasted £30.00

I haven't played any other MMO's so I'm not in a good position to advise.

And by the way, who the hell suggested the alt option? That's like quitting pot by doing crack.

I wish I could vote for GW, EVE, and Aion.

I would need to know more about you, if you want a PvP-balanced game, a PvE-balanced game, an open-world PvP game, an instanced PvE game, etc...

the only one i play is AQWorlds, and it's possible that you may find the animations put you off.

still, it's free (or it can be anyway), it's updated weekly, and the people on it are generally friendly. except for those who try and work their way through the foul language filter... they are generally annoying.

If you're tired of WoW, Aion isn't the game for you unless you're sold on aerial combat and PVP and PVE at the same time. Most MMOs are very similar because everybody copies from their predecessor. Aion borrows from every MMO, so if you want the occasional new experience play that. If you want to go back to basics, try the others.

I played WoW once, and it was ok. Plus, many people say it's great. Try it.
You really need to learn to read the opening posts...

OT: I'd recommend LOTRO, the trial was a great laugh when I did it.

Guild Wars is good becuase of the lack of sub. fees. You could get it and another MMO if you wanted to.

Oops. In that case, then, go with Warhammer. That's pretty good.

I would try Champions Online. It at least looks interesting enough.

Guild Wars is supposed to be pretty good too.

I don't think LoTRO would be your choice. You describe yourself as an achiever, with WoW's raid dungeons raided through and all. LoTRO is a lot more of a casual MMO, and I think you might quickly run out of stuff to do in it, like you have now with WoW. Roleplaying and fluff is a big part of the game, and has been given more attention than in a lot of other games.

WAR is a pvp heavy game, I've played it for nine months. Mythic sucks at class balance, and PvP is often dominated by a monotonous group setup of one trick ponies. None of the pvp instances even come close to WoW's. The heart of that game is open world pvp, which is a huge zerg fest. Some people like it, some people don't. Usually the side with more players wins, and it's not uncommon for servers to have Destruction dominating during the day, and Order wiping the floor with them, once people get home from work/school.

I've heard good stuff about Aion, and I might try it once I get more money. You shouldn't run out and buy it now though, as the developers put up waaaayyy too little servers, and they are now overcrowded, with long queue times. With long, I mean seven hours long.
Also, the game is still young, and none of us western folks really know what the endgame is going to be like.

Tread lightly.
