My father has been emotionally abusing my mom ever since they got back together. My mom is too lovestruck to see that my father only got back together with her for a place to live, free sex, and to clear his 10k child support debt. My father will be extremely mean to my mother, then turn around and apologize and confess his false love with her.

He also sells drugs, giving me an invisible lever on him.

Edit: My father has a tendency to go into extreme violence sometimes. He's held a gun to my moms forehead, pulled the trigger(to find it not loaded), Nearly decapitated me on purpose, among other things.

Well, it would be better to take this to the cops (that he is selling narcotics illegally).
Otherwise, if the cops find out another way, suspicion may fall on the whole family.

I hope that you and your mother/family get through this.

If I were you I'd phone Childline, or whatever similar agency you have in your country, and ask them what you should do.

I would talk to your mother first and tell her what you are thinking. I wouldn't send your dad to the police though just yet, that could be a bit dodgy. Just talk to your mother.

I wouldn't do anything regarding your mum's approach to the situation. That's entirely between them, and you just risk making things worse and possibly ostracising your mother. And you definitely do not want to risk a falling out with her.

However, report your dad for the drug dealing. I don't care what people say about blood and water, your dad is breaking the law, whatever country you're from, so he needs to be prosecuted. Phone the police, give an anonymous tipoff about your dad, and he'll never need to know you grassed him up. Then what happens after that is down to you.

Then report him, and explain to your mother why you had to do it.

I was asking because if you felt an ounce of pity for the man, then you wouldn't have been able to do it or back yourself up.

Also, you can get him done for abuse as well, as I'm pretty sure that emotional abuse still counts as abuse.

Call the cops, tell them about the drug dealing, and also mention the abuse and the fear for your life. Sit back and watch the cavalry charge in.

I know it's hard, if he is your father and I wouldn't advise it if you hadn't posted the last paragraph but, that's attempted murder. He's dangerous to you and your mother.

I'd say report him. If he's becoming unstable, it's likely the other two would not end well. With him in prison, it will give you time to relocate and hopefully allow your mother to move on.

He doesn't have a gun. The shooting thing came to happen when mom told him she was pregnant with me.

Report him! Not just for drugs, but for abuse, for intending to KILL. I know you may feel some loyalty to him because he's your father, but he needs to be dealt with before it gets worse, and it can only get worse.

my girlfriend had a similar if less illegal sitution, told her father what is what and is now disowned. try to tell you mother what is going on if you must, but you must accept if she loves him she may side with him and have both parent figures turn on you as a outlet for their problems.
