It's fairly common knowledge that to a nerd guy a nerd girl is like some kind of holy grail. When a nerd guy finds a nerd girl they usually start flirting with them (usually awkwardly). So my question to you nerd girls is does this bother you or are you just happy for the attention.

An addendum I would like to make is: Are nerd guys as sought after by nerd girls as the reverse?

Other than that, I have nothing to say, as I chose the last poll option.

I'm a chick; I'm a bundle of emotions and lack of self-esteem. It's nice when guys signal interest in me. Sure, it could get disturbing if it goes on too long, but that's not limited to nerd boys. All guys can do that.

I actually try not to be flirtatious around nerdy guys; I'd much rather share their interests and be their friend than be some "hot nerd chick" who is really only there for the attention. If they appreciate the fact I'm female and like how I look, that's a bonus, I guess?

I've had my fair share of nerdy attention. Hopefully this is because I'm fairly friendly, and like talking about sujects that are common to nerds.

EDIT: And, yes, I like nerdy boys myself, and do seek them out, for friendship as well as for romance. My fiance is a hopeless nerd whose favourite activity is organising LAN parties- all the better for meeting more nerdy friends... :)

Um, not usually. Sometimes it's nice, but occasionally it gets creepy. Like the guy who said he would rape me for my copy of Legendary Halo Reach. That was not cool. That was 1 guy out of the dozens of guy nerds who have treated me with respect, though, and most do. I don't exactly crave the attention or anything, but going to launch parties and feeling like some sort of goddess is occasionally quite nice. I've single and lonely and having guys hit on me for a few hours is fun.

EDIT: Yes. Yes they are. At least to me. I want a nerdy guy who I can play games with so badly.

I'm a guy, and thus I shouldn't have voted in this poll.

But I can freely admit that meeting a girl who actually knows a thing or two about games is a refershing change of pace, decidedly few around here... uh that aren't creepy obsessed with nerd things anyway.

Also I guess I should add I usually don't do this for 3 reasons.

1. Usually they are my friends girl friends/wives.
2. If I just met them I think flirting would be awkward.
3. Even if the first two aren't met I'm generally to shy to do so.

I really don't like being hit on at all. Usually because it's done at such random times. Like, I'm trying to play tekken at the arcade or I'm in the library minding my own business. I would love a nerd guy to hang out with an talk to, but being approached out of the blue is just...I don't care for it.
