I say no but the booze says yes and the booze usually wins. I'm more of a singer but if the right song is on I will dance, I've even been caught dancing at work.

I enjoy how bad i am at it. If i go out with friends i dance because it often results in laughter when i get up and cause a massive hole on the dance floor where people are getting the hell away from me

I'm actually not too bad, I got some local people to cheer for me when I last danced, I count that as a win. And people would compliment me on campus for it.

Hell, I met the love of my life while dancing in the International Ball in our uni, and while I didn't get her name, I later met her housemate and had apparently made an impression (as had she). But whereas I am an enthusiastic amateur, she's a professional ballet dancer, so I count that as a general win.

That said, only when you have someone to dance with. Dancing by yourself is only acceptable in your house. Or on a stage, I shall say, for the sake of my fiance.

nope... alcohol is totally required, but i don't mean like a couple of glasses of wine, i mean a heavy night where i begin to think vodka is a fantastic idea and tactical chundering is a legitimate option for the night. then its ok!

Yeah, it's ok. I wouldn't go out of my way to dance with or for somebody, but sometimes you just gotta do something silly to break the tension and/or monotony. Nothing goes as safely "out of the ordinary" as the random spontaneous dance party. If you're lucky, some of your friends will start dancing with you, (if you're really lucky, some random strangers will start dancing with you), and if not, at least you can all share a smile over it.

I'm like Gabriel Iglesias, I can tear it up hardcore... for about 15 seconds. heh.

No. I actually hate dancing in its entirety. I just can't help but feel that (with the exception of "social dancing" as it was referred throughout school when it was forced leading up to the christmas prom (which I also hate by the way)) its just a waste of time in the end.

So yeah, always hated it, most likely always will.

I don't dance often but do enjoy throwing some dancing in while I cook things up it makes moving around the kitchen and waiting for things to need string/flipping more fun. I guess you could also qualify most of my playing around with quarterstaves as I tend to just fail around.

I've been a dancer since summer 2000.
I started with breaking (referred to as "break dancing" by the mainstream media) but over the years, I've also been doing popping, locking, hiphop etc. Mainly street dance styles associated with the hip-hop culture. I've noticed that street dances are the least restricting ones and they allow for the most creativity.

Dancing has been great for me for many reasons, here's a few:
- it's a great way to keep fit
- it's a lot of fun
- it's a great way to make friends
- women seem to like men who can dance
- it's a great way to make yourself feel better
- it's a great way to make others fell better

Here are a few of my videos from youtube:

Dancing is one of the best things in life for me and has, on many occasions, been the savior of my sanity (or what's left of my sanity).
I honestly can't think of what my life would look like without dancing, after so many years it has become a part of me.

I think everyone should try it, even if they think it's not for them or they're too old or some other crap like that.
It's awesome.

Depends on the music. I'm not terribly fond of dancing to slow music unless it's with a girl I'm interested in, and I absolutely hate dancing to the fast pop stuff (you know, the kind that everyone starts flailing their arms and legs about to with their presumed partner a good 3-4 feet away), but give me something that I can justify an energetic swing-ish style with? Hell yeah, I'll dance to that.

Fuck yeah I do... and I haven't even taken dance lessons...

That doesn't mean I wouldn't want to in the future, by the way...

Nope. I dread to think of how much alcohol I'd need to have consumed in order for me to start dancing. Fuck that. Hahaha, me and dancing cannot feasibly co-exist in any logical sense of mind. Unless you count headbanging as a form of dance, which I certainly don't.

I've done it for 7 years since 2005-ish , advanced in hip-hop (specifically locking and free style), won several competitions, learned how to count/sync beat and rhythm, turned out to be a great icebreaker for social gatherings, got me a girlfriend, and I just look damn sexy because of it.

I guess you can say I despise it passionately.

I enjoy dancing when it's silly dancing with silly music with friends.

Unless standing still while headbanging, then I enjoy dancing all the time.

Nope, I hate it.
I can't seem to move to a beat at all, I lack any semblance of grace, and my legs are too stiff for me to do anything but walk/run.
My aversion to dancing stays with me even when I'm completely wasted.

I can pretend to slow dance if I close my eyes and pretend I'm somewhere else (social anxiety. Being around people terrifies me).

No, moving for the sake of moving along with music makes no sense to me, feels forced and completely unnatural. I don't get it and won't do it.

Never been much of a dancer and I don't think I will be any time soon. Having said that, doing random shit can be a lot of fun.

Yes I do. It's awesome!

I dance International Standard and Latin aka those dances from Dancing With The Stars. I got into it some 6 months ago, but apparently I'm decent at remembering stuff and got above average body awarness. So I'm progressing nicely!

As to how I got into it; I just noticed I had too much spare time and needed to fill it with something other than games and kung fu. And since we're talking about dancing, I'm actually going to a week-long dance camp in Sweden next week. Fun times ahead!

No. I am unable to sync movements to music, even a little. The safest method for me to repel a female in any circumstance is to attempt dance. Best I can hope for is to sway kinda sorta in time with the music and hope nobody notices. The funny thing is, I'm not clumsy, I'm not uncoordinated, it's just that whatever corner of the brain is responsible for dancing has been sucked out by Brain Slugs...
