If you met a person who could see and hear the thoughts of others, would you be friends with them? Why or why not? Do you think they'd want to be friends with you?

Personally, yeah, I would be friends with this person, mostly because a lot of the things that I think, I have trouble expressing, so I usually just keep them to myself, no matter how much I want to say it. I really don't have anything that I really want to hide, anyway. I really don't know if they would like to be friends with me, though, because my thought process tends to be a little bit... abstract. Plus, I tend to have music stuck in my head, and if it's annoying to me, I can only imagine how annoying it would be to others.

They'd either be my best friend or my worst enemy. All depends on how they'd react to my thoughts, really.

Yeah, sure. But that's just because I'd be friends with anyone. If they were a dick I'd tell them to fuck off though, just like with any other friend.

As long as we agree on most things it would be fine, as I have a habit to keep negative thoughts to myself. They'd always beat me in everything though, that would be a bit annoying.

basically this, and i'm honest most of the time with people, so any thoughts they read coming across my mind wouldn't be any huge surprises to anyone, plus that'd be the PERFECT wingman for the night..

Only if they were significantly open minded to my wandering thoughts. If they "see" thoughts in visual form... that may make things a bit too awkward...

I couldn't play chess with him/her either, I'd be convinced they were cheating.

That would be awkward...

I imagine everything. I think that might make them go away and try to avoid me.

If they can handle the mess that goes through my head then sure I don't see why not, I usually speak my mind anyway so it wouldn't be that big of a problem. Besides I can think of many uses for this person that are very useful.

We would be best friends mainly because I can do most things without having to think about it. When I'm not listening to music I'm usually not thinking anything. I also don't have any memories that I would need to keep secret.

The problem is that he'd be in an asylum shortly. The thoughts in my head usually come in the clusterfuck variety.

What appears in my head should stay in my head.

If this rule were broken, havoc and insanity would dawn upon human kind as we know it.

Stay far, faaaar away from them. I ony come in one flavour, the 'Sneaky Little Git' package. I'm naturally a sneaky person, so someone who could read my mind would ruin everything. I couldn't play chess with them, couldn't play any jokes, and I'd have to give up watching reruns of Baywatch.

Huh... where's the option for: I effectively already have one?

All (partial) kidding aside, I'd probably direct them away from me in case they go mad, because if I'm conscious, I'm thinking.

With that sort of power I couldn't trust them. Or even want them alive. Even if they were some sort of human he/she wouldn't deserve that sort of power, not where they can just break into people's only true private sanctum, THEIR MIND! I'm very much a J. Jonah Jameson in these situations, I couldn't stomach living on the same planet as a super-human let alone be friends with one.

I would have to actively avoid him... for both of our sakes. Very few people would want to be exposed to some of my thoughts, and I'd rather keep them private where they belong.

Someone who can hear anything you think is probably not someone who you want to dislike you.
That could cause some painfull situations.
