I don't think it would be possible, music will always exist. Whether it be in the form of a band or simply a person whistling, you can't stop it. I can imagine a world without SONGS, all forms of music in media dissapearing. But music in general, is something that is within a person and can not be rid of.

Reckon this guy's hit the nail right on the head. Musical sounds/tones will always exist... hell, if there is to be no music in the world period, we'd have to be either dumb or deaf (or both). Anyway, if there was genuinely no music, tonal languages would be fucked.

Still, it wouldn't be long before someone came along and started singing ('cos there's always at least one of those idiots around) and it'd catch on.

OT: I'd probably go mad, kill someone, kill myself (but perhaps not in that order). I realise that a lot of music these days is shit, but I don't care, 'cos I don't listen to the crap. (Though admittedly, I have a questionable taste in music to begin with.)

Christ, i find it hard enough to deal with one of my mates who has no preference or love of music, living in a world without music sounds unberable
