What is this "accuracy" you speak of? Me use shotgun. Like see faces splatter.

But yeah, accuracy isn't too important when you're two feet away from the guy, is it?

I call it suppressing fire.
you don't pop out of cover when it's being shot, do you?
that tactic alone makes people whom don't suppress for my advance annoying

I prefer to be accurate, it means the target goes down and stay down.

You don't need to be more accurate, you just need to fire more bullets!
In just two posts, this is basically every single FPS player... ever.

Except maybe for "You don't need more bullets or accuracy, you just sit in one corner and blast any unsuspecting victim that walks by"

Accuracy is everything... even back when I played Return to Castle Wolfenstein I either played with the rifle or short bursts with the mp40. I'd rather take down my opponent with minimal ammo loss then run out in the middle of a fight (Especially important in L4D). Although I do tend to play melee occasionally (TF2 for instance), knives don't jam and never run out of bullets.

Of course there are occasions where you need a bit of spray:
- Suppressing fire for instance is one of them.... and well..... that's about it really...

im more of accuracy but once i get a machine gun and alot enemys are swarming i dont focus to much on it. if alot of enemies are around i know it mostly doesnt matter if i aim when i can just randomly fire and i get them even when im not focusing.

I tend to use both strategies as both have their place in the scheme of things. Precise fire will generate kills but "spray and pray" cover fire will allow one's mates to get into position for precise fire.

It massively depends on the game, are you Sniping, laying down cover fire or just running and gunning?

Accuracy is important but results more so, at least in Left 4 Dead.

I prefer accuracy but I use automatics in case I do need to just spray. Short, controlled bursts is where it's at.

MW keeps track of my accuracy.
On the first installment I had an average of 27.8%
Throughout the mp of Modern Warfare 2, however, my accuracy was a whooping 74.1%
So I guess the numbers speak for themselves.

I generally take accuracy over power when I'm playing campaign modes. It's better to make a few well-placed hits than risking your survival on one or two very powerful ones. the exception to this is artillery.

When playing online, especially in MW2, I need to hit hard and fast, since lag often deprives me of the ability to fire accurately.

Me, I can't stand missing, so I try and be as accurate as possible.

What about you, do you care or do you spray and pray?

(Anyone with a fully auto weapon may as well say no)
It depends really, if the game is good and the AI is a worthy fighter or if in multiplayer and your opponent is a strategist then accuracy isn't needed, just spray all over the shop and run away!.
Well at least your honest and bloody angry as I am to say it, your tactic works -.-

wheres the "it depends" poll option?

see if the situation needs stealth, accuracy, and skill and if i'm pressed for ammo then yes I try to be accurate as possible but if i'm surrounded and have plenty of ammo spray and pray.

Accuracy is everything. If you miss, he might not miss you. You gotta get them before they get you, if you don't, game over.

Depends, in games like Halo I make the shots count, but in games like Cod4 it pays to spray and catch people through walls.

Most of the time, the more accurate a weapon is, the more satisfying it is to use. But when you have a weapon like a minigun or a BFG that can shread a target in miliseconds, sometimes it's more fun when you don't have to aim.

If one on one, accuracy.

If multiple opponents, spray.

Both are -tools-. Use them wall.

I don't choose a tool before I go to work, I bring the damn toolbox.
