Accuracy is good, because it means you consume less ammo. However, if I know I have far more ammo than I require, then I will indulge in spraying more lead than I usually do. No point leaving ammo to waste, right?

I like to be as accurate as possible. One shot, one kill (sometimes more hehe:)

Also that way, I can pretend I'ma super assassin in some parallel universe, where it's not illegal to commit genocide... erm what?

I'd much rather drop something in one hit, it's far more satisfying. Especially when fighting zombies, thus I really like killing floor.

I play Bad Company, so I don't know how much different it is, but I do use fully auto weapons most of the time, although you still need some degree of accuracy, especially with problems like recoil on the LMG's.

I always pick the gun that fires the most bullets the quickest, and just spray in the general area. This habit comes from back when I use to play on a crappy high ping modem connection with half a second latency and actual aiming was impossible.

My gun is always on rock and roll. I like to put as many bullets as possible into the smallest area possible. The best weapon is one you only have to use once...on full-auto.

I usually have accuracy between 30-45% when completing a campaign on L4D2, so I consider myself fairly accurate. My accuracy-stats with each individual weapon is also not half bad, even though some stats are obviously bugged (1095% with the katana...)

Accuracy is a great feature. A pity 90% of all guns in any online FPS on any system ever don't have any. I will always try to stick to whatever is the most accurate gun in a game besides possibly Sniper Rifles depending on the server's tolerance of them.

I would care if it wasn't for the best weapon ever....the shotgun, every once in awhile I'll be on tf2 and indulge in being a sniper or something, but for the most part I just find the general direction the enemy is in and W+M1

Well, I like to be accurate enough to kill people, I rarely spray (unless using Akimbo's in MW2) 90% of the time I fire in controlled bursts.

Nothing escapes from a wall of bullets. Ammo isn't a consideration when you have ammo regeneration, and if you don't have ammo regeneration because you're not playing Borderlands, then you're doing it wrong.

Wow. Sorry man, but you really need to get over yourself.

Anyway, I use a fully-automatic weapon and still go for accuracy. Believe it or not, just because it's fully automatic doesn't mean you need to hold down the trigger. Firing in bursts is what most people learn to do with them, and it works. It depends on the game, but assault rifles are great for taking people down far away as well as up close.
Why does everyone mistake cockyness for self awareness?

Well of course your going for accuracy other wise your just trying to miss. People with machineguns speak a very simple truth to me, they don't have the confidence to go with a single bullet.

Now if you want (somewhat) proof, my accuracy on MW2 is just under 40%.

I'm 100% for accuracy but it all depends on the situation, sometimes spraying and praying is the only way out of a tight spot. Pinpoint accuracy is easy if you're using a sniper rifle but then again it isn't really the point if you're using a machine gun to provide covering fire for teammates or need to pour in suppressing fire on a bomb site in modern warfare is it?

I couldn't give a toss. Kills are all that matter to me, and even then I don't even worry about deaths, wins or losses. That's the main difference between people who like to play multiplayer for fun, and those who just get obessed to the point of obscurity.

1 dead guy plus 4 full health guys is less of a problem than 5 half health guys. Provides a nice challenge too
