Poll: Aion Online, Killer of WoW?!?!

So aion online has been called the "killer of WoW" in for many reasons. I've played both and personally i think Aion could pull it off. I really dont care if Aion is almost a mirror image of WoW, i feel it takes what WoW created and then fixes all its flaws >8] I think its about time somebody stepped up to the plate and told WoW to go **** itself. though i may just be talking through my teeth because i'm a graphics whore (i.e. i likey teh pretty screenies) and Aion is runnin with the help of crytek. So anyone else think Aion Can pull it off?

Well I don't know much about MMOs (besides Guildwars) but I believe last time this discussion came up most people said that WoW was far to large for any MMO to topple it at this point.

I don't understand why people still try and believe that any MMO will "beat" World of Warcraft. World of Warcraft is established, it's been here for some time and most of all it's way to popular. Until patches and expansions are being released, World of Warcraft WILL NOT DIE. Absolutely NO MMO has shot at World of Warcraft.

This is AoC/Warhammer all over again. "IT WILL BEAT WOW OLOLOLOL" then 1 week later no one was even talking about those 2 MMO's. The same will happen to Aion. World of Warcraft is to popular to die.

Havent you noticed that everything labeled "WOW killer" is doomed to failure? the only thing big enough and powerful enough to "kill" WOW is.....you guessed it, WOW itself.

All any other MMO can hope to be to WoW is the mooching roommate who lives alongside WoW. No one can kill WoW. Only hope that WoW will let them stay around and miss a few months of rent too. Anyone who thinks otherwise needs to look at the evidence.

My thought on both the Aion Vs WoW AND the ipod vs (insert "ipod killer") are the same.
the only reason you all (by you all i'm referencing anyone who ever says this) is because you're to damn thick to notices there's something better out there. (thought truthfully thats an opinion and anyone would be a twat to attempt to ague an opinion...o well..) On the note of the ipod the zune was MUCH better, for the same price as a 8gig ipod you could get a 30gig zune...WITH VIDEO CAPABILITY (though now that the touch came out there is nothing to rival that so far >.>) damn i'm getting off subject...moving on...what my point is there are better games then WoW, but everyones to busy leveling up there night elf to even give them a once over...lul. :B

Many games have tried to compete for dominance over WOW in the MMO market. Like the ones that have come before them, this game will fail.

WoW has the graphics to cater to almost all fans' needs. Any other MMO needs to be seen to be using current-gen graphics or it will be considered 'a bad game'. Thus any new MMORPG cannot compete with WoW because it will not be usable by a large percentage of its intended fans because of the new graphics that it needs to employ to gain credibility. This means that WoW has a position that cannot be taken from it by any game released with better graphics than it.
