Am i the only PC gamer i know that simply can't get into MMORPG games?

I have tried many free trials, and played some free ones but i just cannot get into them. I mean it pisses me off, i wanna play them, but i cant. I'm good at WOW but i just hate it for reasons i can't explain. Just bores me very quickly.

So, am i the only one? an anomoly, a freak?

Hehe now thats a strange question.

I dont know tho. I only play mmorpgs, simply because i never do it alone. I ALLWAYS party with 1 to 5 friends, so it is preety fun this way.

Nope. I don't like grindtastic games or games where you gain a huge advantage by throwing more and more of real currency at it.

Only MMORPG that I liked was Dawnspire, if it even counts as one. EVE and WoW, were just...nah. They felt boring, both before and after playing them. And if a trial of 14 days isn't long enough to make me think otherwise, then I don't like the game.

Too fricking much of pointless grinding and being afraid of newb-hunters; If you get killed 5 times within the hour for doing absolutely nothing and being in no position to resist them is not fun.

I hate MMO's. I hate multiplayer in general. I just don't see the point in MMO's.

You think that you are the only PC gamer on the planet who doesn't play MMO's? Isn't that a bit...naive?

The thing about MMOs is that the quality of the game is only a small factor in the overall enjoyment. It's mostly down to other people. If you can get a good guild/clan/organization and build a solid circle of friends, even the crappiest free MMO will become a second home to you. Likewise, even if the MMO in question is the best game ever, it's likely to get dull and lonely if you fail to connect with at least some people in there.

Personally, I never play with my RL friends and in fact avoid servers where they are. I preffer meeting new people and finding the few who are interesting enough to get to know. Granted, I haven't played an MMO since Burning Crusade came out, but I still have some fond memories. Perhaps I'll go find myself a new MMO home when I get more cash and time.

I never got into MMO's cause it cost too much money and eventualy I just get bored. I got to lvl 45 in WoW, but after that the game seemed out of ideas, just the same quests and the same areas over and over again. The only fun thing was the guild I was in, I was in the biggest on the server, and the players were really kind and helped me out, but then came the problem that I leveled too slow, my friends were lvl 70 when I had reached 45.

I'm on Warcrack but it's really the only one I've had any experience with.
At least until a 40k MMO comes out.

I would imagine a number of PC gamers don't play MMO's. Probably because they might have lives. I tried WoW once and I couldn't get into it, it was just taking to long to do anything, really.

I am a non-MMO man myself. I think it's because I don't have the patience to do any work, even if it be only digital grind

Perhaps not a poor question, but a poorly phrased question. If you read past the wording of the OP and find the question that is really being asked (which is, in essence, the question on the poll), it makes perfect sense. Perhaps just not to your superior mind :)

Regardless of meaning, the answer is the same.
