AMD has just released onto the market a new CPU/GPU titled the APU (Accelerated Processing Unit) that not only is meant to significantly reduce energy consumption, but is also designed to increase performance. Both Asus and MSI have released motherboards to support the new chipsets, and a lot of people are pretty excited.

Here's the video by AMD that was recently released on Newegg.com
So what do you guys think? Is this going to be a game-changer for how future PC's will be built?

Meh. Might look into it when I scrape together enough to replace my current motherboard and processor. But not being a technophile, I can't say I really care.

Interesting, but I just dropped money in a new NVIDIA video card so unless this becomes amazing and cost effective I imagine I'll be buying another normal CPU next.

Interesting concept.

I'm not sure it would be very popular for Desktop PC's, considering the fact that dedicated graphics cards are where you get the most bang for the buck, and you don't have to worry about size or weight of the PC.

Laptops on the other hand! I'm sure this will get a much better recption. Lower power consumption and no need for dedicated graphics cards. That's the way to go.
