Karma acts in strange ways, my friend. Just wait and good things will happen. Don't ask for it, it will happen.Redlin5 said:Well then I certainly hope this person gets there computer back. Went to security and found someone had handed it in. Felt pretty excellent.![]()
Totally agree, macbook? useless!SL33TBL1ND said:I don't really need a Macbook. If it was a duffel bag full of money however...
Wow, that's unbelievably shitty. One of the many reasons I'd hand it in, or return it to its owner.Tasachan said:I honestly would have called security as well. Too many times as a teen I lost my wallet and had it returned with all my money removed. It may have only been like $40 here, $80 there, but that crushed me back then. My sister had my family's digital camera stolen at her prom. She never got it back, so we have no photos of her in her dress to show my grandma, and all of our other family photos are gone now, too.
I couldn't imagine losing a macbook. That'd be insane.
Not to mention my husband would probably question me about how I got it.
i agree on the mac part. but u should know that the data isnt what thieves would be after. its the hardware.MrDeckard said:Ehhhh..... A Macbook? No, it's useless to me. A good laptop? Sure..... Except anybody with a brain has their computer password protected. So, logically no.
Good point! Then if it's a laptop, it's mine now.Choppaduel said:i agree on the mac part. but u should know that the data isnt what thieves would be after. its the hardware.MrDeckard said:Ehhhh..... on pc u just need boot cd, wipe the partion, reformat and reinstall.
and if the have bios protection or w/e u just need to change the hard disc and reset cmos.
any security greater than that is more expensive than the common consumer wants(is willing to pay for).
Anyways, OP did the right thing, mac or otherwise.
