I sneak into a manor, convince an 8-foot tall Nord that an old woman is trying to kill him and, watch (giggling) as he murders her with a battle-axe.

Mixed. Mostly overpowered Midas Magic, after that, I switch between blade kinds. I'm currently using an 8-damage Dwarven Longsword, I'm sure that'll change soon.

In my first game, I was an Imperial in an Argonian's body. I mastered blade, heavy armor, sneak and lockpick. I was a thief with a bloody plan B.
In my current game, I am a Bosmer who specializes in marksmen, blunt, and heavy armor, making me a long-range threat and a close-range death-wish.

Great choices guys! I cannot say I am surprised so many chose the sneaking classes. They are always really fun, especially in Dark Brotherhood and Thieves Guild Missions!

I was a mix of it all!

I loved sneaking around and sneak was the first skill I reached Master in.

But other than that, I used Destruction magic and blades for the most part.

Also, I'm a master in both light and heavy armour.

I usually go for the worst mix possible; Heavy/medium armour, blade, block and Stealth. It takes absolutely ages to level your skills for it to become viable, but no one expects to be attacked from the shadows by a warrior in full daedric armour.

Sorry, whenever says "no one/body expects" I almost have to reply with that Monty Python line.

On topic: I generally go for the shadowy bowman with a 'stumble mod' the reduce the viability of just back pedalling and shooting arrows into everything.

Thanks to all of your helpful suggestions, next time I think I will go with a light armored race (undecided) with blade skill, destruction, illusion perhaps, summoning and maybe some stealth. So guys, what race do you recommend for these choices? A dunmer?

I balance multiple characters. Sneaky-sneak is one of my favorites, but I also love tanking with blut+heal and some archery. Even made a cleric class.

I'd have to say sneaking. But I'm also good at Magic in all fields (except restoration, takes so bloody long to level up) I play Oblivion too much.

Honestly I'm suprised so many people said Summoning, i've never seen the point of it.

I usually mainly play as your standard Robin Hood-type, Bow as main, Sword for close-quarters, stealth and what-not, but every now and again i made a mage who was only allowed to use magic, no weapons beyond his fists(although he eventually found a magic sword in one of the various ruins and used that, but his Blade skill sucked so it was mainly a last resort deal).

I haven't played Oblivion in awhile, maybe i should again, see what this Summoning buisness is about..

I try to be an archer but it's so annoying having to use 30+ arrows to kill one enemy so I usually just use melee instead.

A mage It's basicaly playing as god you can even fortify skills with magic.
Basically mage = everything, when you get to a certain stage.

I think I just played as the dude with the big sword, heavy armor and fire-ball for the win XD

And well, after a few play throughs I was enlightened in the ways of the developer console and after that I found a really good site for mods so I never really played seriously after that

Some of the mods were seriously amazing,

Sorry if its a little off topic but I do hope theyre working hard on Elder Scrolls 5 and that its gonna be just as good as oblivion was in its day
