Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball GT for good measure.

It's the trilogy that got me started with anime and the trilogy I still give a crap about after I got out of anime. Everything else means nothing to me and I sarcastically make comments on other animes' characters based upon how incompetent they are or how "perfect" they are during late night Adult Swim on Saturdays when there's nothing on the movie channels.

Actually the only exceptions are Blood +, Ghost in the Shell and Moribito Guardian of the Spirit - so far on that last one. But that's it, I swear.

EDIT:

Hm... Either Cowboy bebop or Trigun- Wait, neither of those are on the list.
Well, then I'll say Deathnote.

(Seriously, no Trigun?)
Crap, forgot about those...

I add to the list of exceptions: Cowboy Bepop and Trigun. But that's it, seriously now.

Trigun, man that list was kinda bland...

All the normal (but good stuff) you hear about all the time.

"Wheather its impossible or laughable, great men open up the paths of battle"

"If theres a wall we break it down, if there's no path we make one with these hands"

"The heart's magma burns with flames, everlasting combination, Gurren Lagann.

"Me, us"

"Who the hell do you think we are?"

So yeah I think my favourite is pretty obvious.

Note: I just realised but I know that entire qoute of by heart what does that make me?

Edit: Oh and D gray man, ghost stories, Bleach and full metal panic.

Azumanga Diaoh?

On topic: I like many of those animes, but I chose Naruto. It turned me into a guy who watched Toonami a while back into a guy who watches subbed anime. Good times.
uh....... no.
Oh right, how dumb of me. It's obviously Welcome to the NHK.
I hope you're being sarcastic.
Of course. I know it's hard to tell in plain text, but everyone has seen DBZ.

Gurren Lagann. The sheer amount of epic makes it a cut above all the rest. Clannad ~After Story~ is a close second.

Other. I'm going with either The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, or a tie between Nanoha and Princess Tutu.

Is there a "None" option?
That's the ninth option.

Wow, the other option is dominating the rest of the poll. Maybe there should be a few more options. For instance, it's missing all the good ones from the 90s, like Pokemon, DBZ, Dragon Ball, Sailor Moon, Gundam Wing and so many others.

OT: My favourite is Erufen Rito by a good deal. This was a life-changing anime for me. Haruhi Suzumiya and FLCL are runners up. Perfect Blue is my favourite movie anime.

Your thread fails because it has no Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann option. End of story.
OT: My fave is Gurrne Lagann

HELL YEAH. Lucky Star and Gurren Lagann. Probably add Haruhi Suzumiya and (maybe) AzuDai.
Yay Haruhi! If only season 2 wasn't so terrible...
*boils in rage from Endless Eight*

They had every opportunity to do a Disappearance adaptation including a real life 3-years-ago thing, it was the best thing they could have done, there very much was profit involved, and they even made the first episode, which other than a bit of K-onization was great and fortold an awesome second season. Unfortunately, they had to screw it up and make one episode 8 times over.

I guess there's always 2012 for them to adapt Disappearance.

While the ones you mentioned are awesome, I'll have to say Higurashi no Naku Koro ni.

Abridged. Littlekuriboh is hilarious.

EDIT: to be fair, I haven't watched anime for several years aside from Yu Gi Oh abridged. I don't know what most of the choices are...

I liked it, aside from the endless 8. I skipped it once I found out they were actually repeating the same episode 8 times. but I watched the last scene of every one of the episodes. Nice avatar BTW. You draw that yourself?

I really just can't say I like any of the list. My favorite would have to be Neo Genesis Evangelion for a series, but I loved that movie Grave of the Fireflies. I remember causing a woman to break down in tears just by mentioning it in conversation.
