Poll: Another dilemma

Good afternoon Escapists! I know I've been asking for a lot of gaming advice lately, but I really would appreciate your help.

So you see, recent sales have got me in a dilemma. There are a few games that look promising, but I'm not sure which to purchase. Amazon.com has Alien Versus Predator for $5.49, and it got very mixed reviews, but even if I receive a tiny bit of entertainment for 6 bucks, I would be pleased. But then, Amazon.com has Spore for $6. Spore received better reviews than AVP, but I want to hear more than just reviews, as I trust you fellow Escapists more than I do IGN and Gamespot.

So, which is a better deal? Also, if AVP would be better, would it be preferable to buy it off Amazon, and save a dollar, or buy it off Steam on which it is on sale for $6.80

I said save you're money, but if you're dead set on getting one of the two. Screw spore. Buy AVP for as cheap as you possibly can. Neither will stick with you for long >.>

I'm not "dead set", but if it makes a difference, I enjoyed the AVP Multiplayer demo.

I recommend the AVP game over Spore. Spore was fun, but a disappoint. AVP is honest about what it is, a fast-paced FPS based on a movie based on two movies, and it has great online multiplayer.

Do people still play the multiplayer? The reason I think it may be better to purchase on Steam is because the sale will attract people to play it on Steam servers.

avp wasent that great, sp was kinda cool, mp was just eh...and spore is retarded.

the first 4 stages can be done in a couple hours, even w/ taking your time, and space stage is boring as HELL, even w/ the expantion of omfg why did u make this!?
