Did not and will not buy the game at retail price.
Activision reamed PC players [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/articles/view/columns/experienced-points/6768-Its-the-End-of-the-War-as-We-Know-It] and tried to pass it off as being a good thing.
The game is not only short it's nothing particularly special to begin with anyway, it's something that compared to the value I usually get from a game should be retailing for $30 not $60 as far as I'm concerned.
Because of aforementioned problems, if I ever buy it then it will be a used copy so that Activision never sees a cent of my money.
Is this going to make a difference to Activision? No. But it's my right as a consumer to spend my money where and how I choose and I do not choose to spend it on this.

I don't see the "I thought the campaign was great fun (if fucking ridiculous) and never touched the multiplayer, thus, tis clearly just a rental" option.

Why is there no "in teh middle" option.
I think the game is pretty good, the controls are spot on and everything. But when played alone with randoms its a terrable, frustrating, and infuriating game.
When played with friends is fun, enjoyable, and pretty awsome.
But things like the commando bullshit across-teh-map-knife-fuckness and care package glitch just break the game. The spawn system is shit spawning you right next to an enemy or worst spawning an enemy right next to you.
The brokeness isnt as noticable when your playing with friends but as i said, its fucking broken as shit and infuriating when playing with randoms.

not having any luck with that, when i try to take it into my picture it just saves as a frozen image and when i try to edit that into my avy it just says no to me.Eggsnham said:Em.. Overall I thought MW2 was fairly average as a game, it was bad as a PC game, it was Terrible as a sequel to COD4 and it was massively over-hyped and over priced...
But hundreds upon thousands of people still pay any price for any game, and will continiue to, regardless of how much anyone hates it, especially in this case.

I honestly couldn't care less about it. I had to buy it because a friend bought a 360 and needed someone to play it with. We've logged on maybe 4 hours altogether. I'm not very good. I wish I had spent the cash on something I liked instead.
I quite agree with you, but the fact is a dedicated server on a PC can support downloads and 64 players, with no lag.skywalkerlion said:

I didn't buy it for that reason, but it wasn't only that reason. The price hikes and the lack of tools and the ignorance of the company overall, coupled with the utterly stupid single player and the addition of very silly weapons (double 1887 shotguns that can outmatch a benelli in almost every aspect) really put me off. I half considered still getting it untill I actually played it a bit over live for a few weeks, which put me right off.
I liked it, I still play it to this day. Didn't see what was so bad about it.

Single-player is a bit overwhelming in action, thus taking away tension since it gets old real quick, but it's okay. The multiplayer has a very good base and system, it's just the abominable netcode, loads of hacks and glitches and the lame people.
For the rest it's an above average game, too bad they took the multiplayer over the wrong bow.

I loved it.
Skipped all homework, went to my cuz's house and played it 4 hours non stop on co-op.
Addicting like hell, other than those giant Juggernauts which had to be lured out and then shot 9000000 times in the cheast before dying.

It's not even the lack of dedicated servers with me because I was never interested in playing online in the first place (though that is an unsettling precedent they're getting away with) it's the lack of mod support and a pointlessly higher price point. Why charge more for it? You're giving me less?
